Wait, you have a purple jacket? You surprise me.
I consider it heather, as befitting the Lithuanian Clan I descend from.

Actually, in 2008 I almost purchased a more purple tweed at Jay Kos in
Manhattan, during his pre-weird period when carried beautiful high-end
RTW and MTM tailored clothing. What kept me from the purchase was a
ticket pocket. I hate ticket pockets

I wore the jacket to the SF Bay Area Meet-up last December and no one
expressed shock. Perhaps they were being polite.

I was trying to be facetious. I love that colour.

Two of my favourite coats, both vintage made in usa Polo Ralph Lauren. The brown one a size smaller and more casual, the thicker knits demand the gray one. Use them extensively during the colder months.

Just got a note today from A&S talking about their new recycled tweed. Along with their pocket square, which is somewhat along the same color ways.

No photos of the fabric, but it was very lovely when I saw it in London.

Very Ivy but with some waist. Beautiful.I went off to college with a BB tweed suit from theUniversity Shop that was virtually identical to the gray one. Patch/flap pockets were
a Brooks feature decades ago, before Lauren adopted them.

Here we go. Their marketing isn't quite as hopeless as it once was. https://www.anderson-sheppard.co.uk/house-style/off-cut-tweed/
IMO, A & S hardly has to market. Their examples in their website 'House Style"
section is uniformly beautiful, as are their offerings in their Haberdashery where
I almost pulled the trigger on MTM trousers, but balked when I reflected on MTM
disasters that occurred to me in the US. At the A&S price point at least for the
first pair, a try-on is prudent. Since I do not visit London regularly, it was too risky.

The Butler's had a lot of good miles in that suit.
