It's not the problem with drop, but the front balance is off.

The buttoning point is too high and the chest is too tight (especially in relation to the waist), pulling the quarters in way too much, which only serves to emphasize that the jacket used to be wider in the chest and is a bit too short as well. If rodaman has had it tailored to look that way, either he or his tailor or both didn't know what they were doing. I hope it's salvageable.

This is an example of a jacket that is, in tailor speak, scissoring, The term comes from a pair of scissors that are out of alignment and the tips or points cross beyond the point of an even meeting point. Seriously, to the owner of this jacket. If I had made this jacket, I would cut you a new one and start over. There isn't any area that couldn't be improved. The way the fronts hang is unacceptable.

I wonder if the sweater under the jacket is doing something to the over all fit?

If that is your profile in your avatar the fit issues are related to the shape of your chest. Full/prominent chest. The chest is not "worked" for a full chest and the fronts are short causing the scissoring. If you don't mind, that's your business. If you want the best fit for your efforts of working with a tailor then you could question his fitting techniques.
