1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I've twice done business with this outfit. I was happy with both transactions as well as with the quality of the cloth.

I have a suit made from their S100 and s150 lines, both have worn well and have met my expectations. My tailor spoke highly of the fabric and was impressed but I'm just a suit wearing guy.

You're one lucky guy, Canucker, as that particular tweed is the most beautiful I've seen. Vivid colours, a nice shade of green and enough heft to make it long-lasting.

Thank you all. It was just a lucky find while one vacation in Scotland but I'm very excited to add it in the colder rotation.

Cheers for the recommendations chaps. [IMG]

Here's my wedding suit in Porter and Harding Thornproof, the shoes were a big decision, but I thought they'll last me forever, they're Forzieri handmade in Italy, you may recognise them from such shows as "Boardwalk Empire" [IMG]

The white balance is a bit off in this, in reality it's a much warmer brown.

Brooks Brothers tweed jacket and vest (two of the three pieces of a three piece tweed suit that I got at Brooks Brothers in the fall of 1965), ecru PPBD, tie, and argyle socks, Orvis tartan trousers, and Allen-Edmonds shoes......

Some other vest, it seems to me, would be better.

The back story is, part of a suit used as a costume in a play in Long Wharf Theater. Uncle Vanya I think.

I think I've found some cloth I like the look of, just enquiring about getting some samples.

    http://www.yorkshirefabric.com/?product_cat=tweed

Anyone used these? They also seem to have an ebay store

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/yorkshirefabric

where you can submit offers on lengths, the web prices seem slightly lower than the ebay prices strangely.

If all looks good I'm going to order enough for my suit plus some extra trousers, and plan a trip to my tailors. :)
