Ok guys, I think this is a great idea. Who knows if will last or not, and we will probably be laughed at by the rest of the forum, but *******. I love seeing what everybody puts together in terms of fits with their thrift store finds. There won't really be any rules except that at least half of your fit has to be thrifted Or Discount Store. Other then that, go nuts! SW&D, CM, hobo chic! Whatever.

Love it man, hopefully we can create a hostile-free zone for critique! I'd say we add discount store purchases too (New Belvest SC for $120 at Last Call is as good as thrifted by me)

A few of mine from the past for starters:

SC: Belvest - Last Call
Shirt & PS: Brooks Brothers - Clearance
Jeans: APC - Thrifted

SC: Raffaele Caruso Sartoria Parma - eBay with thrift funds
Shirt: Brooks Brothers - Clearance
Scarf: Barbour - Thrifted by me
PS: Unknown - $1.97 clearance at the Rack

All: PRL - Thrifted

SC: Luciano Barbera CS by Attolini - Traded in Thrift
Scarf: Scottish Cashmere - Thrifted
Tie: Pendleton - Thrifted
Shirt: BB - Clearance
PS: No name hand rolled - Thrifted

Ultimate thrift - took the tweed out of my dad's closet one Hallowe'en to go as the Doctor. Never returned it. Doesn't fit Dad anymore, anyway.

Nice detail on the jacket in this one
Cufflinks inherited from my grandfather.

Here's a I-work-from-home-but-need-to-go-out-to-the-Post-Office discount fit:

Paul Smith Jeans jacket ($30 at Gilt warehouse sale)
Mr. Brown by Duckie Brown sweater ($10 at Gilt warehouse sale)
Gap jeans that look ill fitting but really aren't (sorry, but these were super cheap)
Tretorns on super sale

"Accelerated Reader" shirt, my first-ever thrift find, not pictured

Weird posting in here because I'm not a thrift thread regular (I don't flip stuff yet, and don't have room to take pictures of my finds), but I like this idea and want to make it happen.

Here's what I wore yesterday for the Friday Challenge. Everything you see here is thrifted, except for the trousers, the shoes, and the schmuck running around in an ascot, not that nobody's tried to donate him.

Late '70s wannabe PRL jacket (you fool nobody, "Austin Scott")
Tie Rack ascot
Isaia shirt
JCP trousers (clearance ~$12)
Cole Haan kicks (outlet, for like 60% off, when I needed a pair of dress shoes I could walk around for six hours in that weren't my AEs or beater Weejuns).

Feedback is, of course, welcome -- though the ascot is A) a bit of a joke for the Friday Challenge (which I will still lose, despite the smaller than average field) and B) something I willfully ignored all good sense in wearing, so you won't convince me it was a mistake, and I don't need to be convinced that it's crazy.
Wow, I think this is the first fit I've seen with an ascot that's pretty cool!

Thanks. I wouldn't have dreamed of wearing one, but a well-dressed poster on AAAC convinced me that they were worth a shot.

I'm sort of tempted to buy another one or two...
