    +1

My wife, who NEVER shows extended interest in politics / news like this, actually asked me to put CNN on and has been watching it for awhile now.

As a former journo, I can't help but appreciate the three-word email some of the WH press corps apparently got to let them know, something like 9:30ish est : "Get to work." [IMG] Gonna be a sleepless night for some folks... completely redoing the front page ain't fun.

I demand an origins story for the Frenchy/Man of Lint feud. Preferably in comic book form.

I saw an 38R Isaia charcoal grey sport coat the other day with a hole in the back (~half an inch or so, visible) going for ~$240 after tax. Is that a steal? (the sale associate said it costs about $60 bucks to weave it at a tailor)

A fairly recent purchase this - made by Magee for Baron of Piccadilly, lightweight covert-style cloth, Vitale Barberis Canonico. I suspect worn only once, if that, as the pockets were still partly tacked closed. Sleeves a bit long, but overall I think one to keep.

Then there's this - a nice 1950s vintage by Burton's, back when they were the Fifty Shilling tailors:

Note subtle 4"+ lapels, 4x1 fastening. Ventless, of course. The trousers (not pictured) have 20" bottoms, side adjusters and brace buttons, with twin forward pleats.

Found a pair of black AE Park Avenues in 11.5 D...just a half size bigger than what I can comfortably walk around in. There's also the matter of this scratch on the toe. Or is it a scuff? I dunno.

I'll put them in the FS section when I get past 45 days.

That would be a rip off IMO. Was it new or used?
