Has anyone seen the brand . . . I think it's called Princeton or Premiere. Something with a P. It's supposedly made in italy and the quality seems alright. I see it here all of the time but keep forgetting to do research on it.

    Cheers

Jean-Paul Gaultier tan cotton SC, sz 40; Vintage Brioni wool herringbone SC with leather buttons, sz 36; A vintage black-and-white, wool Robert Talbott tie, a vintage ETRO tie and three vintage Armani ties (the logo is one I don't remember from the late '80s, so I'm assuming these are from early to mid-80s. From a sartorial archeological perspective, pretty cool.)
Tie pics. Last tie is a Brioni I picked up last night.

Dropped by the SA yesterday. Wednesday's are 1/2 off on clothes so I don't bother if I make it there past 11 or so but the day after can be good because they start to re-stock. Sure enough, it was lost/unclaimed luggage day! I snagged a Borrelli dress shirt, a Canali 3-piece that looks like it couldn't have been worn more than a handful of times, and a Hickey-Freeman suit in just as good of shape (probably from the same, poor guy's luggage).

Today I dropped by the consignment shop to pick up some pieces from last week's Kiton/Oxxford rampage that I was getting tailored and I noticed two more pieces had mysteriously appeared in the mega-markdown section. I picked up an Avi Rossini 100% cashmere sport-coat for $50. It's 3/2, side-vented, and still has the sale tag in the pocket. It is an absolutely obnoxious brown/tan plaid that they could only sell in England.

I also found a Henry Poole & Co. blk/wht hounds-tooth suit for $150. It is 3/2, side-vented, and has that beautiful English cut - well as "beautiful" as anything can be when it's wrapped around 220 lbs of chewed bubble gum. Unfortunately, the pants are reverse pleated and so short that I will have to give up the cuff but it was too beautiful to pass up.

^^ Awesome score on that Poole! Geez, you're really on a roll! AlanC, that sweater is absolutely gorgeous! Nice score!

Sadly, the gray stripe and the yellow Armani ties looks like really bad fakes. It's been a very slow start to the year up here. It's pretty bad when I get excited over Canali. Still, went to three stores and at two seperate locations were someone's Canali jacket collection. Both were pretty recent as well. One guy was a 42R and the other was about a 46R. There were 4 jackets at the first store - I grabbed the nicest one; a summer-y orange/yellow flek pure silk 1 button sportcoat. The next store was the 46R guy. Grabbed two birdseye sportcoats - both silk/wool blends and these can't be more than a few years old. Also found a NWOT Canali casual shirt. The jackets are all up for grabs, but will probably head to Fleabay since they're unvented....

L = 16/16.5 I'm interested depending on the look and if they are slim/boxy.

    Cheers

Anyone know a way of removing monogrammed initials before I try to get it covered up?
