Also found a Joseph Abboud, which I would normally ignore, and have ignored for a month, but just happened to notice the "Hand tailored in Spain" tag and discovered it is a wool alpaca blend, from the local high end men's store. It is actually a pretty sharp SC, with muted herringbone. I believe it is size 40 R.

Some other Southwick finds. The dark one is actually black, but the flash lightens it up some.

Some things I am looking for, if you happen to have it in your thrifters closet and need motivation to get rid of it cheap: a black suit, 42/44 R, 2 button, lower button stance is OK, as I want to wear a b&w houndstooth vest w/ it. And I don't seem to be able to find nice striped ties. Does anyone have a handful or 2 in earth tones or other colors that are not too bright. Also some earth tone vests in 42/44 R.

Had to make a very disappointing pass today. - Adrian Jules Custom suit. Gray w/ white chalk-stripe 2 button. Loads of handwork and pick stitching. Very recent, made in 2006. No pants! None what-so-ever.

Today at lunch, all in my size:

Snagged a pair of Polo made in Italy black wool calvalry twill dress slacks for $6.99 at my first stop. The next stop was a bust but my last stop - my "secret weapon" store - yeilded a RLPL DB navy p/s suit (the first one ever in my size) and a Canali olive twill suit. The owner told me he'd give my buy one get one free. The RLPL was $49 and the Canali was $69 but he gave me both for $49 since I bring other students by and show them around the store.

Picked up this overcoat dated 1931. Beautiful shape, save for some wear to the bottom of the lining. It is from Strahorn in Chicago. I will probably never use it, but it was too fine to leave.

Also for myself a BB Shell cordovan belt in tan, NWT Hermes and Ferragamo ties as well as a previously loved Nicky in Cashmere/Wool. Not to mention a Barbour sweater. I passed on a 100% Angora horseblanket sportcoat from an unknown oriental tailor. Fit like a glove, but I just didn't think I could pull it off.

Browsing suits this morning. Keep in mind I am new to the clothing game, and if a label/designer doesn't tend to come up in discussions that I read, then I don't know about it. Passed on a Beverly Hills Bijan suit in good condition (to a casual look at least). The store is 30 miles away and my car is at the mechanic's. ****.

Today I passed on a Hardy Amies silk 3 piece suit in Navy blue which was too small for me (probably around a size 40 or maybe 38) and a women's Lorenzini dress shirt in very light lavender in size 00. If theres any interest in either I can swing back to pick them up.

edit: Also found 2 Oxxford tuxedo jackets in size 48, 1 in charcoal plaid and another in light grey plaid that I can pick up if anyone's interested.

I like the nerf machine gun on the last page, I passed on one earlier this month for $25

today I splurged on a new with tags RLPL shirt for $22, I hesitated I hate
shelling out more than $10 at thrift stores.

Also scored a really cool Willis & Geiger shirt, flannel.

Heh, yeah wife will be home with her car soon and I'll go make sure it's still there (and while I'm at it, cross my fingers that the condition is perfect). Considering the bill I just got for the repairs to my car, I won't feel bad in the least making a little bit of profit on ebay.

Although finding bijon croc shoes is a whole other level of find in my opinion. Crazy.

Crazy finds. Man I'd love to find a Shell belt. Not to mention everything else. What a haul!
