1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Another lovely day. I hope everyone is hitting the 50% off Holiday sales... I'm done after today. Every bit was worth it:

Need some help with this one. I'm pretty sure it is nothing but at half off it was worth the gamble. Can't find anything about it anywhere. Anyone know the tag?

Listen, I'm newish here, I understand my words don't carry much weight. I'd hate to lose either Gmmcl or ffueco. You both provide a lot to us here on sf and specifically this thread. I have no real stance on the matter at hand, but please everyone remember that we are all here for the same reasons. We enjoy fine clothes as well as thrifting. Please don't let a simple debate on the morality of a returned article drive either of you from the thread. I enjoy both of your hauls and advice. Anyway, I'm sure this is a pointless ramble, just letting you both know that I at least appreciate having you here and hopefully we can drop this and return to some sick finds.

My man, that was such a kind random remark! Thanks a bunch, I still have a long way to go but I appreciate it. Always looking forward to more of your great finds as well!

Fueco was due for a freakout. It's been a while since the last one.

Hopefully he'll calm down and come hang out again.

I have the N-2B (thrifted) in black with the fluffy hood edge. as a daily? awesome jackets, there's a reason why these are in demand. even it quality is so-so. still worth having in your SW&D closet.

I beg to differ on two points you raised. [IMG]

Stick around, even I don't hate you. stay if just for the PM deals.

Yep. This one had a fluffy hood edge at some point. It has the button holes for one. I guess I could have one made I think for relatively cheap. The company has an awesome website with tons of details. http://www.alphaindustries.com/mens-parkas/alpha-industries-n-3b-parka.htm

You're right on the quality. It does actually seem pretty well made however the zipper is a little wonky and gets stuck going up and down. I think this is one of the original ones post 1970s based on the materials used.

I have this forum to thank for being able to find something like this. Made in the U.S.A. quasi military looking, interesting looking tags. Score! Plus this row of jackets had been picked over many times as I was 2 hours into the crazy sale day...
