1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'll chime in by saying that I have slowly built my suiting wardrobe by e-thrifting. I have never thrifted a suit where the jacket fit me well. (I bought 1 at consignment). It's taken a while, and more then I wanted to spend, but I have 6 suits in varying different colors/patterns that I've spent less than $600 total. Just be patient and stuff will come along.

We should actually get a small guy trading thread going, I'll start it if no one else does and there seems to be interest. I would say don't even limit it to suits, because small sizes are damn near impossible to come by.

I pulled this rain gear out of an oldtimer's garage a couple years ago. Just rediscovered it (closet thrift!).

Does anyone know what this is? Military? Age?

    Markings:
    - "SMALL" stamps on jacket and pants. (fits more like a modern medium)
    - CONMAR zipper
    - UNITED CARR snaps at bottom of pant legs.

You guys think you have it bad? I'm a 38R with 17" shoulders. EVERY 38 suit has 18" shoulders. Try BB Fitzgerald fit suits. They're the only ones I've consistently found with narrow shoulders.

Looks to me like "Workwear". in the realm of mining/Civil construction. but could be military rain gear. sweet score! just a guess, - related to my thoughts on what you have there. although it's only speculation.

For what it's worth, Buzz Rickson's have a line called "United Carr" primarily focused on workwear. aside from it's military themed core lines. so either you have a B.R item,($$$) or an original item(more $$$) and if the company does not yet reproduce this item they may be interested in seeing it. regardless, it screams quality. good kop.
    i'd wear that proudly.[IMG]

(I'm assuming) Undoubtably more than you want to spend but for the smaller guys on here, look out for BBBF in their smallest size. Thom Browne already does shrunken sizing, so any brand he makes for, their smallest size will most likely suit your needs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BROOKS-BROT...133862?pt=US_CSA_MC_Suits&hash=item51c74e13e6

And his own line is made by Oxxford, his brooks brothers line I believe is made by MG (for the ones made domestically), don't know about Moncler Gamme Bleu though but that is mostly outerwear anyway.
