1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Assuming fake on this but it was under $2 so why not. Leather is super soft at least. Thoughts?

The fellow stereo geeks on here may appreciate this. I got a call a few hours ago from a guy whom I gave my card to a month or two back when he saw me buying reel to reel tapes at the thrift store. He told me he has a old Pioneer deck in his basement he's thinking of parting ways with. I told him to give me a call when he was ready to sell. Well, I got the call this afternoon. He was the original owner who purchased it in 1979. He kept a folded towel over the top and kept it under a dust cover all these years. It is stone mint. Looks brand new. Not only that but he gave me three boxes of tapes (one box of un-used tapes, a few still in the cellophane) and one box of spare parts from Pioneer (new belt, 4 rollers, etc). He was an electronic engineer and went through the entire thing making sure everything worked. Also had the head relapped by JRF Magnetic Sciences.

Oh, and he has a three ring binder with a 300+ page service manual and all the records for parts and service over the years. Price? Under a Benjamin.

Some stuff by Coppley is very nice, others not so much. It's great for personal use, but if you're looking to resell it usually doesn't do so well. Us Canadians see quite a bit of it as it'd made here. I think one of the Hamilton guys mentioned the factory is close to him.

I'll grab their Zegna/Piana stuff, otherwise I tend to leave it.

Saw a Zegna dress shirt today. It was one size too big so I left it. Been leaving a lot of good stuff lately because they were not my size
