Nice finds on the Belvet and those custom suits! I'll definitely let you know if I come across any 46 tailored Kuhlman stuff. Like Dahl5yankees said, the shirts are almost as common as Tommy Hilfiger around these parts.

On another note, does anyone know any good places to score in the Chicagoland area?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it will definitely take more than several trips/searches to find good stuff. I've went for a month or two without finding a single thing and was on the verge of just giving up because it was just a waste of time and gas. Then.....JACKPOT! Keep at it. Persistence pays off! On another note, I didn't have any luck clothing-wise today, but I did score a 42 piece Fiestaware dinnerware set today for $50. Mint condition, no chips or anything. Doesn't even look like they were used.

I guess I would call that a blessing, cause the first time I went thrifting I found some decent stuff, which got me hooked. It's taken over my life!

Just like Nataku said: this takes patience. Trust me, someday soon you'll have so much stuff you'll be trying to figure out how to make room in your closet for more.

All of them are great finds but that Majer and that 3-piece Hilton are major scores!

When I worked in an old clothing store back inthe 80's I remember we used to have some older lawyers and judges that would shop with us and Majer was all they would buy. By that time we didn't carry it in store but only through special order and I was always stunned how expensive it was but I could tell it was well made. I was too busy back then collecting Boss and Mani zoot suits or anything to pay much attention to those "old man", made in America clothes but I sure wish I had picked up a few pieces when I had the chance.

Its a bit darker in person. I also found a mint YSL suit, beautiful, but not my size. It was size 42 jacket 32 pants...Might go back and pick it up to flip.

I wouldn't bother. Any menswear other than Dior Homme (their recent mainline) or their runway couture line isn't really worth flipping. The suit looks pretty dated too.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. That picture is of a Dior that i picked up for myself because it fit perfect. I didn't take any pics of the YSL.

Hey, that's my turf...stay out!

You won't find too much in the "high end" market, but lots of "trad" stuff in Greenville.

Greenville is "trad" heaven, hopefully the young buck doesn't like "trad" stuff.

Again, great find on the suits - I've particularly been trying to thrift a BB 3/2 gray pinstripe number.

Went back looking to see if any more Fiestaware was put out today. I guess all that was there was what I had bought yesterday or what someone snagged earlier this morning before I got there. On a more pleasant note, I did find this beautiful Brioni suit - hanging with the pants seperated in the trousers section as usual. 2 button, side vented. Functional cuffs. A recent Traiano model. It has a few minor issues (one cracked cuff button, a few spots here and there), but it's still very wearable and all the issues could be fixed easily. Size 48L, though

When purchasing the suit, the guy behind me commented "Oooh, you found the jacket for those pants! I almost bought the pants but they were a little too big for me! Very nice fabric, though.".

This is likely what happened with the pinstripe Brioni jacket I found there a few weeks ago. Every other suit that probably came in from that donation had the trousers hanging seperated. The Brioni trousers were the only ones that I couldn't find anywhere.

Today I had the best score I've ever had - lightly worn Allen Edmonds "Sanford" in great shape in my size and an Anderson Sheppard suit. I will have to take the AS to my tailor to see if it can work for me or not but I couldn't let myself pass it up...

It's around a 42R in the jacket. If you're interested in pics and whatnot shoot me a PM.

Major scores today!

A BB Peal&Co. briefcase and a perfect condition large Hartmann tweed luggage, $80 in total.

I am pretty sure that the briefcase is made by SAB. It looks exactly like this one
800x800_fitbox-l17d06008003sa018.png

http://www.swaineadeney.co.uk/produc..._dc/index.html, expect the lower corners are the same as this one http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=59629. It is in London tan with bright yellow contrast stitches.

How do you guys take care of your bags? Do you use shoe cream or other products to clean and restore the leather?
