1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

My pet peeve is people posting about things wholly unrelated to thrifting in the thrift thread (holidays, new children/wives, home cooked or restaurant prepared meals, etc.).

Fantastic load, sir. (that's what she...oh nevermind).

That's a helluva lot of nice cashmere - nice!

I think he meant "walking by...", not "waking by" as in slept out overnight.

And this 150 year old rocker will soon be added to our collection of antique furniture. It's got a pretty amazing stamped leather seat.

My best single store Jazz LP score. I usually only find one or two, and they are generally always beat to shit. These look to have never been played.

Its always gratifying to see the "lucky" finds go to the hardest worker and nicest guys. Amazing how often that happens.

Congrats to you on closing the deal and to Spoo for the assist.

Of course, the guy you got it from will want to jump off a tall building when he follows your auctions. .

Folks, I have only found one pair of Croc shoes but I stumbled on these this morning. One is tagged as croc, the 2nd has had new soles and heels, so any croc reference is gone.

    Here they are:

J&M Domani Croc - My size and thinking of keeping.

These are the ones I'd like opinions on whether they're stamped or real.

True, but you have to keep in mind, WalMart is pretty much top level stuff in these parts, topped only by the new Target.

Looks real to me. I'd say infant croc belly.

What a haul, Wes! Nicely done.

I bet dozens of people here are seriously thinking about messaging sellers directly from now on. This was a game changer.

Well, people message me all the time, so why not. If you want to get a bargain, sometimes you just have to ask for one.

But notice, I didn't insult him with a lowball offer. I just asked if he might consider offering a BIN price. He set the price. I just gave him what he asked for.
