1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Only two things from the local VV, Vintage Eatons Wool Knit, love the colour and it was $2.99.
Also picked up wine coloured braces, those are still in the car.

My Kiton streak seems to be over but at least I managed to find a nice Etro tie. First ever for me, only picked up shirts before.

Question - can mens shirts really have front darts? Came across this Caruso today that buttoned like a mens but had front darts and fit real tiny. Label was different from the ones I've seen earlier too. Womens? Remembered that I have a Boss around here somewhere with the same thing, looks kinda weird to me.

Absolutely never seen a Sears Made in Italy tie before, you're saying you have?

What the hell is a Kiton streak? Must be nice, I've had maybe 3 streaks of one in the year plus of this hobby.

Can't believe I forgot about these 11D Cheaney ass kickers my workmate snagged at a local VV for $25, with an approx value of $3-400, I do believe.
I haggled him for these shoes and the are really lovely, he shined them for 3+ hours and you can really see the effort.

Correct. Though I tend to not spend a lot of time on Sears ties.

When did Made In Italy become a thing without the quality to back it up?

I don't think Tex is suggesting that it is, only that it's a relative thread oddity.

Every saturday there's this huge fleamarket right outside my house. It starts absurdly early, Im usually there at 7 in the morning, often coming straight from the club/afterparty..

It stretches for as far as you can see in this picture, and then some. Mostly ordinary people selling their things, insane amount of childrens clothes, insane amount of hot hipstergirls, and luckily quite abit of nice stuff to buy. Highlights of today:

Another Hermés scarf, this time without lipstick!

A borsalino hat, mostly to piss off my gf, she hates hats.. There might be some sex striking coming up.....

Fairly certain there is one somewhere here in my office waiting in the donation pile. Came in with a e-thifted lot. I think it said something like Finest 100% Polyester, made in Italy. Made me chuckle.

A Sears made in Italy tie is a thread oddity, because no one here would buy one, but Sears 100% Polyester Made In Italy ties are quite common (unfortunately).

Forever ago. How often in your listings do you mention something is made in Italy or USA vs made in China, Romania, Portugal even?

Nope, actually I'm saying I've never seen a Sears made in italy tie. Not saying it's super high quality, though that's what initially drew me to it, it's a cool textured weave, very '70s color. Could be very well that it's because I also never look twice at Sears ties, but I probably look at 2-300 ties a week, this is the first one I remember. It could also be because it says Sears and Italy on the same tag, whereas I wouldn't search the content/maker tag on a Sears tagged keeper.

Cot damn it... I should change my username to OopsRekop, not because it's "Spoo" and "Poker" spelled backwards, but because for the 2nd time in recent memory I purchased something from GW that I had previously bought there and redonated...as in, "Oops, rekop!" [IMG]

Fair enough, and don't take my "no one here would buy one" as an insult; I was referring to the ties I usually see, not yours. However, I do think your offer to Friskydingo was a bit hasty. :)
