1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I find womenswear to be much harder to go by the feel of the fabric. It seems to me that low end women's stuff is softer and better made than low end menswear.

DEMMIT! I was afraid of that. Especially after the other two in the case had machine sewn edges. Oh well, returns city....
    Not this.
This -- And THIS is two days. Two. Days. Gentlemen (and MartiniGirl, if you're still out there). 7 stores total. Less than 8 hours invested. [IMG] At one store, literally every time I slowed up to look at a rack, no matter what section it was in, I found excellent stuff, half priced. Someone clearly peppered the store with stuff hoping it'd be there fore half price day. WINNING! I'm not going to list what's in those bags yet because I want the full, unspoilered effect when I finally drop that bomb here.

Experimenting with my new photography lighting. The mannequin does not seem ideal for showing shirts but this is a Turnbull and Asser shirt found this week, 15.25 neck 35 sleeves:

Wow! Nice haul! That BR looks early 90's.

Yeah, not only is it label overload but going through women's clothing also adds another hour at least onto each store visit as women's clothing is at least half the store.

    How about a "self-thrit"?

I bought this suit on a trip to London in august of 1986 while most of you were still on big wheels or not even born yet. Been in storage since at least 1990.

I guess the store or brand "London House" doesn't exist any more. I went to a store recommended by the hotel, so probably the concierge's cousin or something like that.

Still, looks damn good for 24 years in storage.....
