1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Alden tassle loafers which fit although a little snug around the toes. Are they supposed to be snug? I thrifted half size larger before and they were too large so these 9D size shoes should be my size. They are in beautiful condition.

Does anyone know how to date this suit from the tags? It says Givenchy Gentlemen Paris on the inside but has a "made in USA" tag in the chest pocket. The only thing that I can see that resembles a date is the "82". I love the suit but I know there is not enough fabric to turn a 40 into a 44. The pants still have their original crease in the waist which leads me to believe that this suit was worn very little if at all.

    Thanks for any input.

I'm sure some of you have friends that see you as an authority on clothing and come to you for advice/guidance in advance of making a big purchase. I'm currently trying to steer my friend away from these bastards. Holy fuck they're ugly.

Over on the more "blue collar" side of town today when the siren call of Marshalls brought me in. Found this Brioni for dirt cheap, but the truly ugly lime green color made me think it wasn't even worth the flip. A quick check of ebay sold listings now suggest I might have made a mistake. MLL-- its out in Mechanicsville if you want it!

I just wanted to say thanks to all that post here and the other threads on styleforum. I have not posted much, but have learned a great deal from everyone. From what to look for as bargins and how to pair things to look right with all the pictures. Having three kids my budget is tight for personal clothing and style purchases so I try to make every dollar count (I imageine most do that anyway) This thread inspired me to hit the local thrift store and I left happy. I ended up walking out with two nice suits one being 3 pc, about 6 ties, a couple pair of pants and a of course the kids picked out some bags of hots wheels and the wife a dress all for under $50. Fantastic! Sorry no pictures, but as my courage increases I will be sure to post. Thanks again - JB

    Who is Robert Tailor?

Can't decide if I should keep this or sell/trade it. It (I think?) fits and is fucking awesome, but looks out of place with my college garb. :|

Too out of the away unless there was other good stuff. You find anything for yourself?

Also, there's a ton of bow ties (like 25) at HT. All priced at $20, but I think most will hang around to 75% off.

No, it was generally a wasteland. They did have some reasonably nice Ike Behar knit ties at deep discount, but they had this damn orange stripe across the middle. If they had been solid knits I would have been all over them.

No worries. I'd rather find my own pair. It adds to the satisfaction :)
