1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Just had a great record haul ... but there's usually a reason nice things are at goodwill. Yes, that's right -- a ton of them are warped! I should have looked more closely (or at all).

Any genius fixes, or am I out the $10 I paid for a stack of records?

How badly warped are they? I have a few high dollar LPs that are warped and I was going to try the glass plate method on but never got around to it. Might be worth a shot.

Some unusual things for the thread:

'70s piece with nice colours. Close to an indigo blue.

This one was custom from 1971:

1940s John McHale shoes (other shoe not pictured).

'80s Peanuts/Browns t-shirt. I found a cooler Paul Mitchell shirt, but it's in the laundry.

Nice '60s tweed piece. Canvassed, barely padded shoulder. Look at the pattern-matching. And this was sold at a department store.

    PRL tweedy vest:

Buying records at thrifts is an easy way for the uninitiated to waste a lot of cash. But every hundredth trip you'll find a decent LP:

Szeryng DGG with the big tulips.

I still cannot grasp classical records. Shaded dogs and all that. Just can't figure them out....

Just a quick question, I know Gant Rugger is something to look for, but I picked up a Gant Salty Dog Indian Madras short sleeve today. Did I make a wise choice?

    Two shoutouts.

    1) @Nataku for these jeans
    2) @tben for his patience and the tip on this jacket!

The e-thrifted zegna chelsea's came in. The right one has more creasing than the left. Not sure why. Soles are pretty thin (italian style), so I'll probably replace them when they wear out. They fit okay, juries still out on whether I keep em.

A friend of mine has a device he bought for fixing warped records (I think it's this) but there's a few different ways a record can warp and there's only a couple that can be fixed. I tried the glass plate thing once but i think i was not patient enough and warped it worse.

    Thanks!

I like how minimalist it is since there isn't a huge breast patch. My first foray into street-ish clothes thanks to this forum haha.

I paid like double what @tben did (he found it closeout and heavily discounted in stores) whereas I bought it online. I still think it was pretty good deal, especially given that it was online closeout and has leather sleeves and is a wool blend!

Thomas Pink X 4, all slim fit but the last (actually found 6 but found an unworkable stain on one and kept the other because I've been dying for a purple gingham shirt)

    Sid Mashburn puppytooth (another first!)

    Etro

All heading to that place, but if you see something you like, let me know. I'm sure we can figure something out.

Tomorrow: Suiting and shoes, I hope.
