1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Its a vicious cycle....really love the thrifts that hang the pants waist up for easy scanning. You might look for the tell tell suspender buttons if you are trying to find or eliminate suit orphans, but you will learn to recognize the Haggars and Dockers pretty quickly. If you are lloking for a nice fabric you can eliminate many pants through the feel test.

RAINING Charles tyrwhitt here, couple of flip cuff shirts in 17.5,/35,

Also found some Charles tyrwhitt suits, 3/2roll and 2 button Navy suits in 46.

Most likely the same donor, 46R guys get at me for proxy, don't want to invest so much into it.

I'm slow too. Obviously the waist band, but I look for pick stitching, tunnel belt loops, fabrics, side adjusters and stuff like that. I can usually do that on a quick scan.

In the field and just need to vent. Found my first Finamore shirt, my size and minty in the MOST unlikely of places, only to discover a 3in tear in the sleeve. Grrr!

There is no way those ties can cost anywhere near two dollars. That tie bar tho! Silver tone is my favorite tone

Lol, I have Dark Souls. I've played it for about 40 hours and started playing GTAV and completely forgotten I even had that game.

Can you take a few pictures so I can stare at them with you? [IMG] Maybe I can come over to stare at them, too?
I tend to look for interesting fabric then feel, then look closely. Too many pairs of pants packed tightly = fuck it.

Are filson shirts auto-pickups? I found one yesterday, but passed on it.

(Well my lady friend humored me by coming along and was starting to get bored so I left. Probably won't bring her next time lol.)

    Re: the ties.

Oh, I was going to ask @barrelntrigger if he wanted to borrow the original one.

I've been playing a little bit of borderlands 2 lately :)

Almost all the time, filson does pretty well, and its a name for good quality gear.

Side note:absolutely hate bringing people thrifting that aren't into it like I am, they get bored and want to leave after I've gone through my first rack.

Does it say anything below the Gore-tex logo? Like active, pro, pac-lite and so on?

Yeah, she said she'd come with but the sec we walked in, she was like "I don't wear pre-owned things" and then I knew it was rush time. Nothing jumped out at me. I'll go back there today and grab it if it's still around. I usually hit this and another store 2-3x a week.

Filson = Kop. feel free to resell at your discretion.

Thrifting with non-Tthrifters is like going to a Titty bar with a gay dude. -Sure they are nice people, but they just don't understand why you are there......
and want to leave before you see the good stuff.

Never pass on FIlson at thrift prices if in good shape.

Very true. I've bought non-thrifters to a GW a couple times. Never again. I don't think I had ever been in and out of a thrift store that quick. You can try to ignore their boredom but after awhile their obvious signs can get annoying (hovering, nagging to leave, etc).

Sounds like it could possibly be a Theta AR jacket. I thrifted one brand new for like $3 about 7 years ago. One of my trophy finds. Still have it to this day and it fits great.
