Anyone have a rough estimate of the date on this LL Bean tag? Doesn't appear to be any other tags on the thing

Nice find! Looks like one of their Norwegian sweaters. Oldest one I've seen, though. That looks to be from the late 60's-mid 70's.

All I saw today was a pinstripe Paul Stuart orphan and a moth eaten Corneliani suit. :(

I found an rlpl shirt with a worn through collar and cuffs that had been dry cleaned and starched and pressed approximately eight thousand times. Why are people so cruel to nice clothes?

This PRL cotton/linen summer jacket looks like it fits okay. A bit tight across my broad, muscular back but I'm used to that.

If the Lanvins had this tag then you didnt fuck up...... the dunhills were probably made by zegna, so that may have been a bad pass unless they were dated...

Haaaate that. Had to leave a Paul Stuart, cashmere, cableknit sweater in my size recently for the same reason (thrift, not discount). I get that people want to save money, but honestly what's the one time difference between even just decent plastic hangars and those shitboxes that get used?

I posted a 1950's tux jacket that I found a few weeks ago, so I figured I'd wear it out. Here's the deal: I do research in surgery. I had dinner+journal club with the two chiefs (i.e. my bosses) of the surgical specialty of two of the biggest hospitals in the country. We do this about once a month, so I figured I should rise to the occasion. Here's what I wore. (Note: the stain on the shirt happened during dinner. Balls.)

    THRIFT FIT!

Black cords I've had for years
Johnston and Murphy kiltie tassle loafers I bought on the bay last year
Bow tie from a vintage flea market
    Thrifted Italian shirt
AND THE FUCKING DINNER JACKET FROM 1950!

I saw you critiquing other people's fits in the past few days. I think it would be best if you put in a lot of work on your fits, then start the critiques.

Looking at that, I'm glad I've got the Trailwise one... [IMG]
