1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I think I found a fake zegna tie today. It didn't have a great hand feel to it. The tag said 'SILK 100%' instead of 100% silk. And there was a gap in the ermenegil do and the z under the blade was turned almost sizeways and I couldn't make it out to be a z.

    Shoulda taken a picture...

Sho did! I think they're the Officer Boots. A bit pricey, but Google tells me they're worth it...

Also picked three 2XL skeets (left two), a John Comfort tie, a Brioni tie (a first for me from a thrift), a New Zealand made fair aisle sweater with pewter buttons and an RLX rain jacket. Nice single store trip!

I've never felt a Silk/Cotton blend tie feel as nice as this. 60% Silk 40% Cotton

Yeah, those are nice. I found one last year that I traded to a member here - was super impressed with the weight/quality.

Several people answered you, but yes they're the same. The best of the best Borrellis will have hand linked collars -- the irregular stitching will be apparent. You will see handwork elsewhere too, though never in the shoulders as far as I've seen, unlike Finamore. Some of the elite ones use special fabric the name of which I can't recall.

As to the fit of your shirt, I had an older one that fit my (fat) neck, but fit the rest of my body like a tent. I slimmed it along the sides, but it was never quite right because the shoulders were a tad too wide. I'm sure someone can fix that, I'm just not sure it's cost effective.

Passed on a NWT reversible patagonia pullover the other day, but it had some unusual wear on the cuffs and the shell side was very scuffed up.

Keep it if you think you'll actually wear it. If not, if those shoulders are always gonna bug, you, sell it. I've had too much stuff sit in my closet because it was just a little off and therefore I always reached for the stuff that fit right.

Dig, can I make a small, polite request? Would it be possible to dial back the number of animated gifs and movie clips and such, just a little? I mean no offense, and you've contributed well to this thread over the years. I just sometimes can't make head or tails of what your posts mean because of all the illustrations. It's no big deal, and you should feel free to ignore me if I'm out of line here. Just thought I'd mention it.

^ I actually enjoy Digs gifs a lot. They add personality and punctuation I think. Perhaps under cover of a spoiler, but I "dig" em. Though, I am a big believer in the gif reply.

Took everything in me not to put one here lol.

    Thrifted Tiffany? Awesome!

My girlfriend has a couple of their bracelets she's been bugging me to list on eBay for a while. I need to do a bit more research on them so I can include proper details.

Big post. Here's a small portion of my vacation haul. Picturing them as I pull them out of the stack.

    40ish images so be careful.
