1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Those bases look like alabaster, are they? If so, there is a very good chance they are Art Deco.

You could have something really nice here. The design is very reminiscent of this piece, valued at more than $2k. I'd get it valued.

Hmmm, I don't think these are Japanese reproductions because I've found a pair of Smith's Union Made Sanforized worker's pants a few weeks ago and the tags were marked Made In USA and they look to be from the 60's, I'm guessing. I need to do some googling to be sure.

I agree. I know they'll repro almost anything but I really can't see them also doing the union tag. So I vote vintage (of some indeterminate age).

As no clear owner can be determined, all your tweeds will have to be cut down the middle and shared equally.

It means men in our area have a modicum of taste. And that RG are apparently falling out of favor. Or are readily available online.

$10 with free shipping? If it doesn't work for me, one of you small guys can have it.

I saw $8 in shipping charges, still seemed like a decent price.

Does this mean that since I was born in the USA and my wife in Canada that I can claim everything in both countries?

Different rules apply in Canada. I believe you have to fight a grizzly for thrift rights. Or Frenchy.

Same tags as a coat I have that I can definitively date to 1943-45. Brooks was conservative when it came to label changes, though, so it could be 10 years later than that or 10-15 years earlier.
They aren't recent repros. The UGWA union tag is the tell - that union merged into another one in 1994 and they stopped using the tags. However, UGWA tags didn't change much over the years; that tag could be anywhere from the 30s to the close of business in the 90s. I'd guess 30s-60s, but I don't know workwear very well so that's just a guess. Unless the Japanese are also repro-ing union tags, in which case I give up.

Did a quick run to my local VV(I live 1 minute away, walking distance)(it's in a busy ass intersection)

Was originally going to kop a casual cotton blazer for my wardrobe, and than I came across this, (and forgot about the cotton blazer). First one i've seen in the wild, so I was excited!

^^ awesome find, but FYI that's wool not cotton. Always feels good to reunite a suit!
