1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

You need to move out of my territory by the end of the year.

    Jk

    Seriously. Move.

Awesome hauls guys. It seems weekends are poor thrifting days for me. Crowded, picked through, not much fun. I'm jealous of your finds.

Thank you Edwardthefirst! I've never considered a tweed vest but I may have to start. It is a very cool piece. Thanks again! Happy Holidays!

Was surprised today with an early Christmas gift from the 'rents, since it's questionable whether I'll be able to join them on vacation to the family cabin this year. They came out of a thrift--learned from the best.

Art Deco (we're guessing--couldn't find much info after a brief search) copper Dachshund bookends:

Beat me to it. Saw your response about clothes finding their way into your personal closet. I love the fact that almost every day now is a "thrift fit" day for me. Except for shoes, in the short 9 months I've been doing this, I've replaced 75% of my wardrobe with items I would never pay retail for, I dress 1000% better than I used to, and have extra $ in my pocket.

    [IMG] 10.5 US?

I have nothing to post, self imposed thrifting ban until my entire backlog is listed (or put in my closet).

Interesting. I never came across that bit of info when I was researching Harris Tweed.

Rant! Amazing book! I wish he'd finish writing that sequel already. And Vonnegut, I need to read more Vonnegut. Cool bookends! I thrifted some handmade pirate ship bookends this summer which look awesome on my bookshelf.

These Jeans look very modern to me Spoo, i have seen these pop up from time to time. and they would be a nice addition to any "Workwear wardrobe".
-modern Japanese denim companies that specialize in "Americana" produce almost period correct denims, with minor differences.(like a zip fly). they almost have that "sugarcane" look.(barrel?)
to me, these are looking like a small- batch throwback denim. and i would rock those with a waistcoat/tie, and big Frye boots. [IMG]
