1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Picked up this cool HSM herringbone overcoat. Trad special.

No size or material tag, yet its a heavy wool herringbone tweed. I'm guessing around a size 46. Originally from Wallach's.

"Just picked up a jacket. Orphan? Oh well. Fits perfect like new."? WTF is that? First of all why did you take a picture in a store? Do you think we all sit here waiting with bated breath to find out what the hell you are doing all day and can't wait for a summary post? For crying out loud, this is a bragging thread. Don't take a crappy picture of the inside of a coat and post it. At least hang it against a wall or lay it out on a table at home. Show us why you bought it, save the stupid pics for your friends on facebook who actually care about you do with your day.

Not saying it is. Just saying I wouldn't be surprised if it got "lost in the mail".

    Bad day, Shoeluv? :)

It may be a little harsh... give the guy the benefit of the doubt that he is asking if the coding on that tag means it was once a suit.

Also, I saw that jacket there 3 weeks ago, its pretty nice quality. I looked for pants, there were none.

    Does anyone recognize this label?

it was NWT, it had the client's name on a hang tag, and on the pant tag.
on the inside of the pocket it had the clients name and measurments.

    BUT
it had a label that said "tailored in china"

low quality suit IT HAD TO BE FUSED but im not a good judge on that.
functional cuffs (all 4) but it was sloppy

is this the shit savile row is putting out today? or is it some knock off?

Too harsh? Probably, normally I wouldn't pay attention but I have seen many of his posts with "is this a thing", "SC or Orphan", and finally "GW or SA"? He has been scolded by many and I guess I just didn't get what that post was supposed to be. Better in the future if I just block people if they get under my skin instead of calling them out.

My foot/ankle is still screwed up, too swollen to put a shoe on and a different color every morning--black-and-blue toes today and yellow on top. It's just a sprain, but this is getting ridiculous. I couldn't stand it any longer and finally hobbled into my first thrift store in more than a week. Nothing too spectacular, but it did lift my spirits a bit:

The cover of the Brother Ray record has seen better days, but the vinyl inside is actually in really good condition. I was pleasantly amazed.

The only thrift I ever did was a copy of The Clash's self titled LP for 50 cents. I took the record out a few months later, and guess what popped out.

A Clash PROMO LP from 78. If you're a music collector, you know the worth of promo LPs.

    Back to clothing!

Thanks to everybody who responded with thrifts to check out in the Inland Empire. I didn't have as much time this weekend as I thought, so I just hit a random Goodwill and came away with a Rugby oxford and a nice women's shirt (for my mom). Sometime I'll have to drive down and thrift in SoCal for real.

Any big footed runners out there?

I picked up a pile of Merrell Sonic Gloves on the cheap. All are size 12 men's.
