1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

the ends on the RRL banner going up mean it's older RRL, probably 90s or early 2000s.

Ditto Ditto, those guys on the RRL thread are seriously into RRL denim. I got ignored on my last question there too.

Seriously Eddie, the ease with which you beat everyone's finds is comical.
Someone: Hey I found a nice BBGF...
Eddie: Hey, I found 10 pallets of NWT BBGF @ $7 each in staple colors and sizes...

    As for me..
4x PStuart, one of which is cashmere blend, and my first Cvet that wasn't all beat to hell, in fact this one is pretty new. I'd keep if my closet wasn't overflowing with blue shirts already.

I thought this was cool. Closer to a shacket than a SC, but nicer lining.

Had an interesting discussion with some dude at Saavers today... He found an Evisu denim jacket and was trying to figure out if it was worth anything. He was muttering something about $250+ on Ebay! I think I found something...

Sure dude, if you say so. I suggested that he do his research before listing it. I touched it, and seriously doubt it was anything special.

Meanwhile, I walked out with a few nice sweaters, including a Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater from perhaps the late 70s. I'll post pics a bit later.

Nothing earth shattering today, but I did score a couple of nice ties.

That RRL jacket is nice, but if you list it you should know it's a Second. The gold dot on the label is how the RL brands mark it.

Fucking ebay canceled all me auctions and put my account on "restricted" status, all because of this cocksucker who ruined my two Gurka bags. How can I have 98.2% positive feedback and still have my account put on hold? WTF? There goes my fun money, won't be posting here for a while it seems. Oh yeah, the one piece of Isaia tailored clothing I owned, got lost in the mail on it;s way to the re-weavers. FML!!!!! :fu: :fu: :fu: Fucking ebay customer service, I tried to talk to the highest person on the chain as I could and was told they will call me back in the next 24 hours. Yea right. :cloud: :cloud: :cloud:

Went on a binge to a ton of stores this past weekend and basically struck out except for a Loro Piana shirt that ended up with some collar yellowing after I took it out in the sun and this pretty wild piece - my first non-tie Hermes. Clearly this was found in a store I didn't even know existed and in short sleeve wovens which I never check - guess that's just how it works out sometimes... Can anyone assist with an authenticity check? It looks well constructed with MOPs and correct looking tags but who knows these days.

Looks real to me, but I have only dealt with a handful of non-tie hermes items. I m sure Spoo will chime in here in a minute with the correct answer. Nice find IMO

My meager finds from the past week...

Traded a scarf to another member here and the thrift gods sensed I had room for more.
    L->R
Charter Club cashmere (is this a Macy's brand?), somewhat feminine but the wife likes it and the cashmere is real per the burn test
    PRL teddy bear (lambswool)
Cashmere made in W. Germany for Bloomingdale's
    [IMG]

Coach belt, first one I've found in serviceable condition
    [IMG]

Kuppenheimer wool sweater vest in my size
    [IMG]

Pretty neat shetland wool cardigan w/ patch pockets
Are torso lengths on cardigans usually quite short in relation to the sleeves? Might need to read up on re-blocking this, dunno.

2x Hickey Freeman (bottom one is available, tagged XL but fits like AT LEAST an XXL, ogre size)

Paul Smith (XXL; available) and a Brioni (n/a)

A few ties not pictured, but this one has me pretty stoked.
I've been in serious need of a black knit tie, and what better way to fill that need than with this piece of vintage trad wool awesomeness for $2.25 on discount day? Trad peeps will know Reis of New Haven. Ed Michtom's was a menswear store in Charlottesville, VA. Opened in 1947, closed in 1988 according to the interwebs.
