1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Im leaning towards not the good Balmain. Still a kinda cool suit though.

this is the Balmain type of shit you are looking for : http://www.mrporter.com/product/373053 http://www.mrporter.com/product/373051

Both have me stumped - used google to translate every fabric i could think of, from english to italian (even tho balmain is french - tag looked italian), with no luck finding something that started with "T".

I've seen the old/crap Balmain, before they bought their licenses back, and the tag on this one appears to be S12 (summer 2012) - if so it would be post-buyback. And i've never seen a junk suit include spare thread - only better stuff - but I dunno. ...then there's the dressier Balmain vs. the ripped t-shirts and jeans Balmain.

Wow - good suggestion! No clue. the fabric really does feel like wool though it's obviously a blend and not wool as that would likely be an L (Laine / Lana). I guess I have a mystery suit.

Yeah, that's the hyper-street-couture stuff I see, and Pierre Balmain, and old diffusion Balmain / Balmain Paris...can't seem to find a comparable to this labeling.

    Thanks all for weighing in!

what if the shirt itself is in good shape, but one or a few prominent MOP buttons are chipped? does that make it a pass? if you have flipping in mind

Those belts aren't worth anything. Send them down I-71 so I can dispose of them properly :D

Not an automatic pass for me - I've flipped a few shirts with chipped MOP buttons, 1 or 2 with a button missing but the spares still intact. These days I'll ask the lady who does alterations at the dry cleaners to replace / move buttons when dropping off a load and she usually does it free. If you're going to make a habit of it, search sewing & crafts on eBay for "mother of pearl buttons" and you'll find you can buy a few hundred for 5 or 10 bucks - not like they're expensive or rare but folks like to tout them when selling.

Someone make one of those graphs where the frequency of which you should pick something up from a given label decreases with the frequency of how often you stumble across said label.

Need help guys. picked up these RRL today. size says 29 measures 16 1/2" across rn #41381. design on the pocket leads me to believe these are women's jeans. Can anyone else confirm or perhaps chime in with an opinion?

I don't know, a friend of mine has some Balmain jeans that look like awful mall-brand pre-faded crap, but apparently cost $2k.

Unless that suit is just a fake, it seems too new to be licensed, and it's not the Pierre line either.

Seems a lot of work on this suit to be a fake. Eh - not my size so will toss on ebay with a fat BIN and see what happens.

RRL jeans only come in inch sizes (not women's sizes like 10, 12 etc) that I have seen, so I believe they can be unisex.
