1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Sadly no - tag reads all silk, and the fleurs de lis are definitely sewed on.

So thrift fit question - is there anything about a boys blazer that would make it not suitable for a man? I recently thrifted a really nice cashmere blend Hickey Freeman "His First" model jacket that fits me even though it's a boys 18. Is there some sort of difference in how men's vs. boy's jackets are cut that is going to make it look awful that I'm not thinking of?

So be it! except I don't remember when I posted that Truzzi. I think it was last summer.

New Pics! Truzzi on the right, Loro Piana on the left (it didn't get any love either [IMG]) Both 100% Cashmere.

Not sure how rare it is, but this is referred to as rain camo. Currently in vogue.

Why can't this be a US 42?! :fu:
Hmm,good pass I think. Have no clue what that is. I'm leaning towards German and likely dates from the late 70's to 80's. Not valuable as far as I know. I think you know tiger stripe but if not, this is what you want. There are repros too, you want either a white label or a black size stamp. If it has a green label with black text at the collar, it's a repro. [IMG]

Not too excited about the Truzzi, but this Loro Piana is gorgeous. Since you and I seem to be body doubles when you get bored with it send it my way [IMG]

I've got a cashmere and wool, boys size 18, navy, BB triple patch pocket sport coat that fits great! The buttoning stance is a little high, but nothing I give two fucks about. Scooped that one from the Capt' :slayer:

Dan - that LP is grail status. a navy blue (I assume) 100% cashmere - or a 70/30 vneck is top 5 essential items to have. Ive got one that will likely never leave my side, they are the best.

    Is that a 50? :)

Navy, 56. I had picked it up ($4.50) with the sole purpose of flipping, but after the grail comment, I discovered that it fits perfectly. [IMG] Great way to close out the day.

Couple things from the weekend. I really should still be working on the NJ trip from a month ago, but these were easily accessible.

Cherry Pop, A real Alan Flusser, none of that purple label BS.

That's what is was rain camo I remember Baldwin did some rain camo camp pants a while ago
Also I work out and eat a bunch but I have always done that, my shoulder have just recently gotten way bigger and the billy Reid fits like a 42L not a 44R

True, but some people just like Prada, right? You know, different cuts, silhouettes, more fashion-forward details... there's more to clothes than just the amount of handwork, right?

Yeah, Prada tailored stuff is made by Belvest and Cantarelli, not quite to the tailoring standards of those makers' mainlines, but you know like I said, different people have different priorities, right?

Man, you sure care a lot about what's inside your suits...

Ohhhh now I get it, you're a jerk. Welcome to StyleForum.

Okay, please go easy on me, posting my first thrift fit pic...

Sport coat: Oxxford Cashmere - from my first real big haul back when I started thrifting in spring of 2012. Put on a few pounds during the busy season at work, so its a tad snug.
    Shirt and Trousers: Brooks Brothers
    Tie: Isaia, ethrifted last week.
Shoes: Vintage Alan McAfee for Bullock & Jones. Gifted from a fellow member on AAAC who was streamlining his wardrobe.
Belt (not visible): James Reid of Santa Fe, sterling silver and bison.

5 year old: homemade. Easily my favorite part of this photo.

    Sad, but true.
In fairness to me, I was on a streak where I was freaking killing it. And I indicated I had an exceptionally good day. I got no respect.
But I've come to realize what's already been said: Others, like me, DO appreciate everything on the thread. That's why we come back. We're like a couple that's been together for years: We may not say "Damn, you look hot in those sweatpants" every time, but we all know we mean it.
And I do, dudes. I appreciate you and love your posts.
    :brofist:

    ZOMG! That LP is stunning!
Maybe nobody noticed it. ASK HIM WHAT SIZE IT IS AND IF IT'S AVAILABLE!
So, Dan what size and is it...

    DOH!
