1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I thought it was a solid beginning. Dialogue was good, and they took several steps to set up for the rest of the season. Very Whedon-esque. It was also cool seeing multiple Whedon alums (Ron Glass and J August Richards). Looking forward to cameos by River Glau and the rest.

    Thanks!
A good umbrella should be able to double as a cane  Really though, if I happen to find one, I'll certainly let you know. I've come across a few in the past, though nothing terribly nice nor interesting. I check them all of the time as I love interesting cane heads, especially animals. I see a fair number of walking sticks, but I'll take a look around and see if something pops up!

I really wish we could come up with a better abbreviation for Turnbull and Asser. Whenever you guys say T&A something else springs to mind from my younger days. How about Turnies?

It doesn't help that the second name has "ass" in it as well

    +1

I think just recently someone posted something like "just popped my cherry with some T&A."

I wanted to remark on it but double entendres on the interwebz only go so far.

I'm glad you mentioned it though!

I'll call it Turn & Ass next time... Seriously though, the internet is ENTIRELY about acronyms that don't mean what you might think...

I know these aren't anything to write home about, but I was in Buffalo Exchange selling some of my wife's crap yesterday and found a pair of these:

They're Grenson (the cheap line). Size UK8.

They were in decent shape (soles ok, but a slight dark mark/oily looking stain on the left toe, but I think i could get it out, or even just wear them with it).

Not my size, so I didn't buy, but they were marked $25. If anyone's interested I can try to pop by this weekend and proxy (cost plus shipping - I'm not trying to make money on them) or trade for something in my size (10D - 10.5 E).

Pediwear has them for 100GBP, so I figued someone might want them on the cheap, and I could use some good karma around these parts.

    ETA - they're brown nubuck. http://www.pediwear.co.uk/grenson/products/4364.php

Spent the whole day thrifting and found nothing. Kinda bummed to say the least. Then I found 6 ties at the very last stop that made it all worth it. Here's a teaser

One of my biggest thrift store pet peeves is when you are looking for a Made in England men's shirt for the scavenger hunt and all you can find is Zegna, Valentino and Sulka Made in Italy bullshit.
