1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I cried when I got out of bed this morning.

I had the most vivid dream that I found a Cashmere Kiton Suit at TJ Maxx for $215. I swore it was really happening. I had already bragged about it here and everything.

I will, but I am not optimistic about it. At ours, you are lucky if you can find a real PRL in a sea of US Polo Assn. and they rarely have suits (Chaps) at all.

Thanks! I've seen a lot of boots with scales before. Any tips regarding deciphering between exotic materials?

Edit: answered my own question tooling around the Lucchese website. Looks like I've seen a lot of lizard lately.

On most boots, a search of the model numbers inside will tell you pretty much everything about them. The boot makers seem to be pretty good about that.

Weird, I was just dreaming about unlined light blue with white poka-dot schlubby silk ties. Of course, it's already been noted that we have problems. :D

Wouldn't Tony Lama be on that list too? Justin's are the only boots some of my friends would be caught dead in, but when would they be a good pickup?

Just some Burberry stuff this week (not all from the same person - I'll upload pics later), but if you're a Police/Sting fan like I am, you'll know why I value this find the most...

6 Disc set, rang up for 49 cents!

I pass on the same except Burberry for flipping. I also pass on Thomas Pink almost always.

    Liberty of London
    Old Samuelsohn
    Old Zegna Ties
    Orvis
    Thomas Pink (most are frayed)
    TM Lewin

I usually pass on Burberry's but pick up Burberry when its recent and in good shape

oh - you mean those kind of labels

In general, I'll pick up any of those labels you listed if it fits well in the shoulders (for shirts and suits), the waist (for pants) and if I like the pattern (for ties).

For now, I'm just going for fit, so if it doesn't have a good fit, I'll pass.

Orvis and Thomas Pink are among the easiest to flip, depending on the color and pattern.

The one I skip on most is Eton... I've yet to find anything worth my time or worth wearing.

Funny, my experience has been the opposite. I've flipped Eton for $40 easy but have had Orvis sit and sell low.

    I also pass on Bill's Khakis M1P

In addition to the Police box set, here are my finds for this week. Being new to this, I'm not sure of the authenticity of the Bruberrys and Bosses. Comments would be greatly appreciated.

Burberry London gingham shirt - $5.50
Seems fairly recent and unworn. My first gingham. Alteration: waist taken in.

    Burberry London Necktie - $1.00
A bit wider than I like, but what the heck. One dollar.

    Boss Necktie - $2.00
    Nice peach/apricot color. I like.

    Boss Necktie - $2.00
A bit on the thin side. This is the one I have questions about its authenticity because the Boss logo loop is skewed (i.e. not sewn on evenly). Maybe it was deconstructed to make the tie thinner?

    Burberry London dress - $8.00
Can't forget the kids. For the daughter.
