1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

You might already know this, but the ladies' scarf section is often the place to hunt for squares. Look on table tops too. I bought a Fendi square for $1 that they were using as a doily.

    [IMG] Holy shit.
I did finally figure that out. It may very well be that I don't have the patience to sift through the mess that is the scarf area. Same with belts, no patience, and not enough experience with belts to spot without serious wading through beat up pleather strips to find the good ones.

Yup, this is the duck hunter camo from the 80's. Still desirable and worth an easy $20-$30 on the bay if they're a common size. The duck hunter pattern and the HBT twill pattern are very similar, but only the later is reversible and is worth a pretty penny.
AS you now know it's fake, but be too discouraged. The real mccoys are out there for sure. I picked up a Breitling Aerospace w/ case and documents last summer. One of the best finds ever. Cool shirt! Not terribly old, I'd say late 80's/early 90's.

Gents does anybody know an easy way to tell if an unlabelled fabric is silk? I'm not a fan of fire, so the burn test doesn't really do it for me.

I was actually going to ask you about those Evisu jeans... anything I need to know about them? I rolled the dice on them.

    These :

Also, any info on these buttons? Wes and I were having a conversation about them, I thought they said "90" in the shape of the cannon, which would put it about 90 years after the civil war, which would coincide with the ACTWU label being about 1953. Anyone have an opinion?

Also never heard of this maker but these shoes are SOLID.

I don't know that anyone's ever found one of these. I walked into the store 3 minutes before closing and managed to scoop them up. It's like a sherpa outer shell and a shearling inner shell:

    Like the PSmith :nodding:

Tip: perhaps try photographing the black shoes on a lighter background. They blend in and it's hard to tell the features.

Worth going back for this? No pants. Color is midnite blue with black lapels:

Is this Sulka genuine? Any ideas on its age? The "100% silk" tag is cardboard, and seems to be lightly glued to the inside.

Authenticity check on a Versace Zodiac scarf anyone?
Content tag is missing. Hand-rolled edges though.

Ive been crazy busy getting my new place up and running. Went out yesterday and struck out at 5 stores... I think I was following behind someones wake... DM7? Xenos? S_Allen_P? I did not buy a single thing.

I did pop a cherry... This awesome lightweight cashmere shirt/sweater thing. Brunello Cucinelli

Looks like the previous owner was shot in the back.

Also passed on a few Willis & Geiger shirts that were slimmed and darted by the previous owner. A Barbour Harrington jacket that had a hole in it.
