1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

NY Gents, I'll be in the city first weekend in Sept. Anyone want to help a thrifting brother and his gal out with a spot or two via PM?

Quick shout to the Cap'n for hooking me up with a sweeet gator belt.
Also had a blast hitting up a few stores with Shoeluv on Sunday and thanks for hooking me up with the BB chinos!

Speaking of which, also to my New York homies, I'll be in the city the first weekend of October and would love to meet up with some of you guys. I plan on setting aside an entire day to hit some spots. Pm me if you want to meet up, and if not, maybe point me in the right direction. :D

Hey guy, it's been a while since I've posted. Anyways, I think I may have to quit thrifting for good.

Because I hit the motherload. This is a big step up from the no-name Harris tweeds I started out posting and it's all thanks to everything I've learned from you here.

Storytime: I was on my back home from helping someone move and I had time to hit an out-of-the-way SA before it closed. I grabbed as much as I could before closing and came back the next day for more. Everything below is from two days at ONE STORE.

    Picture time:
    First I hit the shoes.
12 pairs of unworn or barely worn Allen Edmonds and an unworn pair of Italian Johnston and Murphys. Like that pair of sharkskin Belmonts in the front left?
    Shirts were next:
    Brioni, Canali X2, Gitman Bros
    [IMG]
    EZ NWT, EZ X4
    [IMG]
NWT silk Tommy Bahama, silk Tommy Bahama X3, Patagonia Organic Cotton
    [IMG]
Pendleton w/ Elbow patches, Corneliani. Is this knit cardigan RLPL? I think the label was removed because it shows through the back. Made in USA.
    Pants:
    Cucinelli, Zegna jeans, Brooks Brothers
    Jackets:
    Brooks Brothers
    [IMG]

NWT Brooks Brothers Wool/Cashmere - Anything special?
And my favorite piece. Pure cashmere you say?
    Hickey Freeman you say?
New with tags you say? I paid $10
    [IMG]
Question: Is this from being NWT, or is it a defect?

Well, thanks for looking everyone. I picked up a couple less-exciting things, but this is most of it. It was quite a rush. Everything is headed to eBay to pay for my education. :)

Nice haul. If you're referring to the white threads in the shoulder seam, that's standard practice for when jackets are displayed in the stores. The basting is meant to help the jackets hold their shape while on the hanger. They're supposed to be removed before wearing.

Aren't those basting stitches? Should be removed when the suit is tailored to you.

BTW, nice haul. Why can't I ever find one single decent pair of shoes or a nice dress shirt!

Grail #1, vintage Filson waxed cotton jacket, been looking for something like this since I started thrifting.

Grail #2, Baracuta G9. This is the third one of these I've found, but this one fits the best. Keeping both so N/A. :slayer: :slayer: :slayer:
