1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I've done this to mixed results. The potential for damage to the fabric is quite high. I have a fairly steady hand and still damaged the shirt 50% of the time (sample size: 4 shirts). Even when I didn't, the "ghost" of the monogram was still sufficiently visible that I first relegated the shirts to sub-sweater-only, then back to GW. I avoid monograms now.

Looks legit to me. I've found a handful of old Brioni ties with those tags and gold chain. They do pretty well on the bay too, especially the really ugly ones. :D

Easy KILLED it with that J Crew!! That thing is awesome! Hit a total of 5 stores in the last 24 hours. [IMG] First store (the appetizer portion): Corneliani wool silk beige (60R EU!!), PRL tartan tie, CT tie, Vintage made in France Yves St Laurent 3 piece -- I know this isn't the awesome YSL, but I picked up one like this before and did quite well. [IMG] Next store: Berle patchwork madras (N/A), T&A blue french cuff, SWEET Orvis plaid patch pocket [IMG]
And this from a DIFFERENT STORE / DIFFERENT CHAIN in the same area: Here's the catch from another store. Zegna linen (N/A for now), Berle patchwork madras (What are the odds?? N/A for now) and a Canali tie. [IMG][IMG] Last store yesterday was a bust. Almost didn't have time for a quick run to my Local today. But I'm glad I did.... Oh Barbour jacket cherry. We had some great times together. I mean, we were together for, like, 3 years (longer if you count BT -- Before Threak). But now its time for you to go. [IMG]
How does one get mildew/musty smells out of these jackets? The care instructions are pretty clear not to clean them with any thing other than water. Will reconditioning help? In other news, someone invented a time machine, went back to 1992 and slew a very well-dressed giant. EZ old label 2XB tents, X 11 + Eton x2. (+ Corneliani ID in a reasonable size) [IMG] Hey, GMMcL. Is that a suit in that picture? Why, yes, it is. Solid blue. Dual vent, flat front, S120s, well cut. Hey, it says Made in Italy at the collar. [IMG]
ISAIA, BITCHES! [IMG] Frustratingly short and big on me at around a 43R/S.

It's been 10 hours and 36 minutes, where are the details?! [IMG]
I think I love those, but I am not sure if it is because I they are so unusual or because I would wear the hell out of them.

SLOWWWW PROCESS, On box 24 of 227..inventoring, taking pictures, listing on ebay all at the same time. Best way I know to do is put them all on the Bay, and if anyone here is interested, hit me up and we'll work something out...please do remember I got a deal, but it wasn't a thrift purchase...a few highlights of the first 24 boxes

Man where do you thrift that even a possibly fake Rolex is only $15? Any thrift shop in the NYC metro area would have marked that up to a couple hunj without batting an eye, even if it said Rqlex.

hi guys, been lurking a while, here's a rookie brag and a plea for help IDing some shoes.

I'm in western Canada so I'm happy to trade/ship to other canadians - make yourselves known!

rookie thriftin' (l-r): isaia, jp tilford, jp tilford, faconnable

I also left behind a couple ermenegildo zegna shirts that were too small..

i didn't recognize the tilford name but they have lots of great details and they're made for harry rosen - further research indicates that at least the tilford suits are samuelsohn made. not sure about the shirts. anyways they're nice, so i figured at $6/per i couldn't go too far wrong even for personal use.

not pictured are a pair of NWT BB wool pants (my size) and a blue Coppley jacket with a ton of handwork that sadly might be an orphan but is nice enough that i don't feel bad wearing because it fits and looks great (IMHO).

any ideas on these shoes? or general advice on how one goes about IDing shoes? more pics spoilered.
