1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Both badass finds!

I'd be hitting you up for the R&B if I hadn't picked up a Barbour Osprey Swacket on eBay

Here's my brag post when I picked up my pants press (last item). I didn't get any :worship: back then, lol.

Since then, I've seen 2 of them.

    A few things today

I think these were still there because these stickers were over the name on the footbed

Here's how they look after some leather conditioner and a quick polish / buff. If I was keeping these I'd probably burnish the toe and heel with darker brown.

They're a 10.5 D/B so a half size too big for me. Probably available. Interesting that they have the heel design you only see on the ones they make for BB now.

Picked up this interesting nautical flag surcingle belt. Size 40 so a bit big but I can use it on the last hole. Anyone know what the flags spell out? If someone is really enamored with it I could be talked into trading. Anyone recognize the symbol on the leather?

    Interesting tie...

NWT Vineyard vines for Oak Hill C.C. You golfers will recognize that as the place where they just had the PGA Championship.

Found this for me. It's the made in the USA non-non-iron
    [IMG]

Then I noticed this... Anyone know how to take a monogram out? The oxford cloth should be pretty forgiving at closing up the holes, but how do I pull out the monogram threads?

Agree they are currently too wide. As noted in the spoiler, I'm hoping that the first wash/soak, after breaking in, slims them a bit.

Thanks for all the blazer input. I really value the input, some of which was pretty surprising: The one item I thought would be ridiculed as a boxy orphan was the universal choice, and the item I thought was my all time favorite and best ever fit I'm now concerned is an ill-fitting orphan.

But this process has helped me much more honest with myself and be self reflective about what I want to spend my closet space and marital capital on keeping. I have some soul searching to do. In the meantime, if you are a 42S/R and are interested in the items that got fewer votes (esp. the trad ones) at proxy, get at me. (Oh, I guess now I'm contractually obligated to add this: :spam: )

For those interested, here is the crib sheet:
    #1 - Zegna Trofeo
    #2 - Battistoni
    #3 - Oxxford Crest, 100% cashmere
    #4 - Stanley Blacker
    #5 - Brooks Bros
#6 - Unknown, cool checkerboard lining
    #7 - PRL USA made
    #8 - Huntsman

Took half a day off and went thrifting with my daughter. Not pictured - PRL chinos and a BB linen button down for me.

    Louis Boston tie.

This will do until I can thrift a Barbour

Couple of BB trousers $4 each.

    Vintage BB sweaters.

I haven't really tried thrifting SW&D, is this any good? edit: after a couple more google searches, probably not the epic SW&D I'm looking for. I'll be sticking to classic menswear.

Not phony...licensed. Sold at the middle tier department stores as their top of the line sport coats at the time. Flipping value of about $40 dollars average.

I just took out two monograms with a needle, a razor blade, scissors and a pair of tweezers.

Pull some loops with the needle, open them up, trim and pull carefully as you go. Also, wash your hands first.

I actually appreciated this. It reminded me of this which I believe was cited on this thread some time ago.

This method worked for me with a needle, an xacto knife, and some tweezers

I just picked these up and I know this isn't the normal label for shoes. Are these fake? Or a lower bracket of Ferragamo shoes?
