1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Well couldn't get the image to upload, but I left her in the store. Felt like a sin leaving Oxxford but two moth holes (one pretty bi and right next to he lapel), not my size so I wasn't going to pay to fix it, and the closer I looked the seam along one lapel was starting to split too. Oh well, still have a few things to post later

Does anyone else pass on older (fishmouth style lapel) Oxxford sportcoats that aren't made from any special fabrics? Passed on a houndstooth s/c last week. New style label but had the Oxxford's dated looking fishmouth style lapels and was 100% wool. I've had such a hard time moving these in the past. Can hardly give them away. If they're cashmere, alpaca, etc or a full suit that's a different story. I felt bad leaving it but the demand just sucks for these now.

font looks similar to what was on a pair of TBNY Made in England I found recently. Based on research in the label thread, I think I concluded Alfred Sargent. Here is a pic of that Zegna Trofeo thing I was talking about. This is the one I found in the store, not the one I bought. [IMG] And here's an incredibly strange beast: Van Heusen with a Royal Warrant?? [IMG]

I am just getting into classical menswear. So, for my first post on Styleforum, two finds from this weekend. The first is an dark olive green herringbone from H. Freeman, and the second is an Austin Reed with a white pinstripe and alternating blue and red pinstripe. I will be taking them to the cleaners this week and then to the tailor by the end of the month.

Boom, finally ran into someone from ze forums! Sorry to be so so shweaty. Anyhoo, I thought I had my feelers up and ready after those mothholes so I was looking for damage... But still some damage (including pretty freaking obvious collar wear on the BBGF dunno how I missed it). Ah well, still a good day. And super preppy (Barrie Ltd. shoes, J Press suit, 2x J Press ties, VV tie, clearly some Yalie just exploded).

Shoes: Barrie Ltd. (my size! n/a)
    Shirt: BBGF (available)
    Suit: J Press Presidential (available)
Ties: J Press x2, VV, Boss

Those Barrie's are Cheaney's yes? So rare to find nice shoes in my size, and they're in reasonably decent shape! Left a nice staple Canali pinstripe (orphan, sadly) and the aforementioned Oxxford. Here's the photo that wouldn't upload off my phone.

Of course with the other items I bought in that store being damaged anyways.. The decision looks silly now. Oh well.

But the real question is how does it fit? [IMG]
And I've seen that on a number of fabrics for Isaia too.

Awesome, I'm writing a short review and I'd love someone to bounce ideas off of.

    In other news...[IMG]
The article I was writing about Men's "Foundational" wardrobes went live today. I guess my editor needed content. Thanks to everyone who said they'd help review it and to those of you that did!

    Here's the final product:

The H. Freeman is underrated here on SF, on par with Hickey Freeman and nice for a keeper but crappy to sell IMO (different companies). The Austin Reed...if you start thrifting even a little, you might want to hold off on alterations etc....quality is going to be subart and alternating blue and red pinstripe....[IMG]
