1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The fabrics on piccolos are amazing too. They do not seem flimsy like many other heavy on the handwork shirts.

where my vintage electronics/vinyl heads at?
I am looking to upgrade my setup right now I have 1/2 of a shitty dj setup (doesn't even have a dust cover)
I am looking for a turntable that doesn't require a receiver (does that even exist? I am just trying to have it be able to hookup straight into my speakers)
if possible (if they even exist) a usb input so I can plug in an ipod or computer
    minimalist aesthetics
    a mid tier brand/price
or you know just a regular ass turntable

I don't think you can do a TT without an amp. As far as the USB question goes, are you asking about plugging an ipod or computer through a TT, or running a TT into a computer to rip records? The latter is doable with a USB TT but in my experience it's just as easy (and much cheaper) to run a line out of your amp through something like this: http://www.macnn.com/reviews/ads-tech-instant-music.html and then run the USB from that... or you can do it even cheaper and dirtier with an RCA to 1/8" stereo jack out of your amp's line out and into the line in on your computer.
I bought a Stanton T-90 USB TT a number of years ago and had problem after problem with it, and it was way more expensive than just buying a decent direct drive TT without the USB features. There's one of the converter units on eBay right now for $20 (not my auction). http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ADS-Tech-Ins...LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c34e8096b&_uhb=1

    Ugh
I have been so busy lately. No thrift stores in like... 12 days. So everybody that thrifts where I do, you're welcome. Bad news is, I think it's time to start putting in those 10 hour thrift store days again for a bit.

Was picking something up today unrelated, had time for one store:

+1. A turntable without an amp isn't a good idea. Besides a USB model and some all-in-one units that include speakers which suck, you don't really have a choice.

    My advice:

Go seek out a nice vintage receiver and turntable that you can hook your speakers up to. You could probably score a nice setup off Craigslist for under $150 (under $100 if you're looking at the right time). You can thank me later. The sound will be way better than from a USB model hooked to a computer or an all-in-one unit.

    NICE!!

Thought I should post this. As I said before, I went to LA last week and played some cards, which I always do when I have time at night. There's this guy that I've seen the past 2x wearing the same black and red shirt. It's quite hilarious because his shirt is borderline gaudy/flashy. He's probably from Glendale (that's an inside joke).

    Btw, there's a # 1 underneath the writing. HAHA

    Anyway, REAL or FAKE? :rotflmao:

So much awesome shit the last couple days! The shell Alden Indy boots, the 3 piece Brioni's, and that fantastic Chipp topcoat. Tons of other stuff too, that I can't remember off the top of my head. Keep up the good work guys, it's been a little while for me too, but I hope to be back in the field soon. :nodding:

Nice two RMFB in one year for the thread.

Sold mine for about $700....interesting, I paid $4.99 also.

Funny I was actually going to add RMFB to the current scavenger hunt list, but just decided for down/feather vest instead.

Been super busy/motivated this week to get my stock out of the way for the fall tweed rush.

Here is some of it. I apparently cleared my camera card of the rest of the pics, so you will have to wait until my store populates tomorrow night to see the rest.

These have been hanging in the closet a while. They have to go, so we'll just see how they do.
