1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Same guy as the Davide Cenci - Milan bespoke shirts in a small size. Some have monograms, but it's just a small "SS" on the left in the gut area. Just tell people you're in the secret service.

    Three more
    [IMG]

Now on to more cool shit that fits me:

Stephens Brothers shirt. Not the best quality shirt I own, but the fabric is nice and it's cut slim.

It's no Gieves & Hawkes, but it is some obscure Italian company's interpretation of a Norfolk with the business card from the store and the extra buttons in the pocket :slayer::slayer::slayer:

I've been returning religiously to the store where I found that 1960s Chicago bespoke tux that fit me perfectly, and finally found another piece that also fits perfectly. It even goes well with the tux.

But the best part is, there is no way this can be any ordinary wool, or even a pedestrian cashmere. It's lighter than a Chinese gymnast and is so soft it makes you want to strip off your clothes and wear it inside out. I may be delusional, but I think it's at least part Vicuña, if not 100%. It has the same texture as the Vicuña blend coat I found the other day, but is so much softer. This George Mashbitz guy knew what he was doing--this and the tux are in the top 10 best constructed pieces I've picked up from any other name.

And finally, a gift from a friend.

This guy was a great mentor to me while I was studying music in collegea couple of years ago. Amazing conductor, musician, and mentor. He mentored a few members of the Chicago Symphony, including a principal chair, and even conducted the Chicago Brass in Chicago a few times.

He is a fellow stereophile and had asked my opinion on upgrading his stereo about a year back. We ultimately decided on a set of Magnepan MG 3.7 and Mark Levinson amplifiers, and he would reuse some components. I took his Accoustats and Threshold power amp into the store as trades and installed his new equipment. Sick.

So he calls me a week or so ago and said he has a bunch of stuff he wants to sell, since he's retired now and wants more space.

I go today and most of it is stuff that wouldn't interest the forum, but some electronics. He upgraded a few components we'd talked about, including a new Marantz NA-11S1 and Audio Research tube Pre-amplifier.
    Incredible stuff.

So I get to keep this...

    Get your skeet rags ready...

Whoa. My girlfriend thrifted this album last week. We also don't have a turntable though. She wants to use it as a creepy apartment decoration.

If I can't find anything on eBay I usually do a quick forums search here. Usually the item in question is crap but I've also picked up a few obscure yet highly desirable gems that way.

Today's been a total waste of time... All I picked up was a pair of flip flops at 1/20th of retail price. Some pics for the scavenger hunt thing though...

A guy named Chris Bickel (any '90s punk/HC fans may remember him from In/Humanity and Guyana Punch Line) collects copies of Whipped Cream. He has hundreds.

a little project I worked on yesterday...
my mannequin didn't have a covering for the head and there was a bunch of staples and foam and stuff sticking out and it looked gross
so I cut a piece of wood (we don't have a band saw so I had to use a hand saw it sucked) used a wood burner to put my initials in it then treated it and glued it on, imho I think it looks pretty cool

    Thank you, sir.

Forgot to post these. Original Large Advent (not the first set with the metal plate). In need of refoam which I'll be doing. But for $10, can't beat it.

Two weeks ago AMProf and I were messaging and he let me know about some Alden Indy boots at a thrift store I haven't been to. Cut to today and I'm in the area and decide to stop by. Low and behold these beauties are still there.

    Sorry, NA for now.
