There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

"I thrifted John Lobbs" Club, checking in! What's odd is that I was able to pull my JL boots from a store that is fairly busy and pretty well picked over, but I have yet to run across a single pair of shells from any maker, let alone in my size. The thrift gods are both generous and fickle.

More specifically I believe that's what RLPL refers as a keaton collar

Well done on all the Lobbs gents. Lately my synergy has mostly been of the Van Heusen variety, so good on the rest of you!
Nice take on the uniform. Is that AA T the loose summer crew? I'm still on the hunt for the perfect loose non-v neck before summer runs out.

Yeah sorry man, you flew too close to the sun on wings of puppytooth. A solid shirt would have solved all your problems. As it is, that close-up looks kind of like a pointillist painting.

Here's my own meager thrift fit:

I did not thrift these Versace sheets. However, I do wish Spoo had put these lovelies on the Scavenger Hunt list. Deion Sanders, Jr. not included.

I'm pretty sure any cleaners can clean out oil, I had it done once. My cleaners guy told me that Hermes ties need special attention though because the color comes out and fades more than other cheap ties. I think he said not to rub it but to let the chemicals sit on it instead.

    FTFY :D

    :nodding:

Hit the thrifts with my brother this morning. Had some great finds. Found our first ever Lobbs. Never thought I'd see a pair here in Minnesota. Not in a million years. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the little round silver plates on the shoe trees that were engraved with "John Lobb". I couldn't believe what I was looking at. Found the shoe bags mixed in with the backpacks and other misc. bags.

There were some signs that crazy stuff was there too. One of the first things I found was a bunch of collar stays and spare buttons in a plastic bag marked at $9. There were about 10 Brioni collar stays and a bunch of thick MOP buttons. Also some crazy looking spare sportcoat/suit buttons in their individual plastic bags. Wish this guy got rid of some of his suits/jackets or shirts! Passed on this, maybe I should have grabbed it but I have enough collar stays and spare buttons harvested from trashed Borrellis.

Today was shoe day for the most part though. Not a single piece of clothing worth buying, but a ton of shoes.

Black Aldens #2. I'm probably going to return these. Fresh resole but the uppers are not in good shape. Needs a lot of TLC. Will pass on for Cost + Gas + Shipping if someone wants them.

James Reid Gator belts. They had about 10 of these. We grabbed the nicest two. I found the bag for the belt where I found the Lobb shoes bags, mixed in with the backpacks and such.

Orvis Irish Tweed patchwork driving cap. From the same donor as the Orvis/Kromer caps I picked up yesterday. Probably came out shortly after I left yesterday. Trying to tell myself I didn't miss out on any more crazy nice caps/hats.

Thanks. Haha, I'm still in disbelief. Pinching myself right now to make sure I'm not dreaming. Lobbs in Minnesota?!

Let's see if there's any more synergy to be had out there. I'll start. My first dunhill. Butterflies are NOT free but they're considerably cheaper on 30% off day!

I love the little hide-away "d" in the design!

Also, I'll have to take another look at the tie IRL but it looks like no two butterflies are alike. Is that possible? Wait ...nevermind. Now I see them.

    Some recent finds:

    Epaulet summerweight chinos
    [IMG]

Brooks Brothers flat front charcoal dress pants from Loro Piana fabric (available, 34)

Bills Khakis NWT/unhemmed trim fit M3 flat front vintage twill chinos in British tan (available, 34)

    Versace Collection lavender cotton sweater
    [IMG]
Pretty sure it's real (the Medusa is on the tag, it's just barely visible).

    Charles Tyrwhitt cuff links
    [IMG]

    Tateossian cuff links
    [IMG]

And now, for some out of season stuff:

    Cashmere blend scarf
    [IMG]

Marc Jeffries reversible scarf (silk/wool)--the wool side is just solid burgundy
    [IMG]
I've passed on many Marc Jeffries sportcoats/blazers and suits, but this scarf was too nice to pass up. It doesn't look like it's been worn much, if at all (any spots are from the lighting).

    Etro paisley scarf
    [IMG]

Jil Sander navy flannel wool pants with sidetab adjusters, no belt loops (available, EU 52)

Jil Sander black flannel wool pants with sidetab adjusters, no belt loops (available, EU 52)

Jil Sander dark gray/charcoal flannel wool pants with belt loops (available, EU 54)

+1 on the HOLYSHITOMGLOBBS. I'd be stoked to find any one of those shoes, let alone all of them in the same day. Congrats Nat.

SHOUT OUT TO CesarC for a dope jacket. Finally got something that fits! Super nice handwritten card, too.

My one find of the day:

The West is Dead green selvedge denim sz 29 but fit pretty baggy on me.Better for 31-32--Barrel maybe?
