1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I was thinking about doing some kind of giveaway to whoever spent the most on my auction. But I really have no idea of how to go about that. Probably just wishful thinking

fake spoiler, won't leave me alone...!
    Today's thrift fit:

    (mis) Adventures in pattern matching.

Thrifted BB SC (local), ethrifted BB shirt (Ask Andy), ethrifted tie (ebay). Tailoring of the jacket was more than the cost of all 3 items combined.

Combination of bad internet in-store and being strapped for time had me pay out more than I felt comfortable for these. 25 bucks. Ebay completed listings look promising...maybe with the right consignor *cough*? Can't find what the original retail was. Looks like they may have been worn in store or on carpet once.

No, dude. No. Do you know anything about pattern variance? You broke that rule multiple times. It all stands out so much that nothing stands out. And though there's color variance, it's all the same shade.

I will say, individually, those are all really nice pieces man!! And the tailoring looks good.

    I agree with the comments.

Until I put on the tie, I didn't notice how the texture of the tie is so close to the pattern on the shirt. Ditto when I put on the sportcoat (first reaction was *guh! WTF* the lack of variance in pattern scale actually amplifies the appearance of the pattern in the SC!! ) . But I was outta time to change (what I'd really change is the shirt) yet was interested in the interplay of the materials so I thought I'd snap a few pics. Hence the title of the thrift fit: (Mis) adventures in pattern matching.

I'm not taking it real seriously though, I still rocked dat mother

The SC looks very nice with this tie and a solid shirt.

Contrast is the heart of beauty!

Looks closer to a Tombolini tag than a Caruso. That said, how old is the jacket? If it's newer, then there's a decent chance it's Caruso.

Can you tell from the outside? I thought they use a bunch of northampton manufacturers?

    Also forgot, more Alden's.
