1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Poaching in Brianpore territory today, picked up 3 pairs of excellent condition AE Park Avenues 2 black and 1 brown (Size 8,9,8) (left those in the car instead of bring to hotel room, so no pics). Then picked up a 1/2 dozen shirts.

Robert Talbott Estate - Thick MOP buttons great color (Available)

I only pick up slim fit BB or Irish Linen. This will replace a Banana Republic Linen I have been using this summer. (N/A)

Strange Double R - Ralph Lauren. It is a short sleeve pull over but looks like a dress shirt from the sternum up... XL Available

Staple Light Blue Thomas Pink - French Cuff - XXL Available

Finally I never look at women's clothing, but it seems they hid this in the men's white shirts. I had just read a thread on cashmere sweaters and Pringles in particular. This thing looks brand new so I grabbed it. Has great gold tone buttons. Not sure of the sizing so my wife may steal it, if not available.

Went thrifting a few days ago and found a few things and bought this

I haven not been able to find too much about the company name. Searches bring up hamburger joints and JFK. It's made of wool and is in fairly good condition. There are some low spot in the wool. It'll be great for winter.

There were some other things that perked my interest (like a Hickey Freeman suit from 1982) but I didn't get them. Pictures for the curious in spoiler.

It was pretty small. I believe my size is a 40R and the sleeves were not close to my wrists at all.

Bob Allen. I would have bought this, but I don't even own a gun or anything really outdoorsy. I liked it though

What a horrid stereotype!....that's completely true [IMG]
I play a Stonebridge G23-CR with K&K trinity pickup/mic combo for my church. Seriously nice guitars, though better attuned towards fingerstyle playing. Long been a fan of Ovation, good guitar for the price point IMO. Nice grab highvoltorb.

Finally able to drive a car again, and that means a lot more thrifting sans wifey-chaffeur. Was rewarded tonight with a nice Canali tie, my first Barba Napoli shirt, and an insane Metallica Master of Puppets cycling jersey. Fueco, you a metal fan???

Thought this Cable Car Clothiers (made in Italy) bow tie was a pretty good e-thrift for $10 shipped. First time tying/wearing one. Got quite a few compliments the other day, will have to add more to the lineup.

So I'm really interested in upgrading my closet hangers, I've been piecing together any wide Saks/Neimans/Nordstrom/ Tom James hangers I can find at thirfts but wanted a more uniform look. I have found a few of the plastic Samuelsohn hangers with the flocked bars and really love them. I did a little digging and it seems like you can buy unbranded versions here although you have to buy a box of 30 for $200 as the lowest amount.

Has anyone ever done that? I'm seriously considering it although I don't need 30 but at under $7 a pop it's much nicer on the wallet than going the Hanger Project route. Anybody wanna go halfsies?

Get the box. I love them.

Don't judge me for the spare hangers. I have like 9 shirts being made, with more in the future. About to upgrade pant hangers too, just testing the clasp ones to see if I like them.

I bought mine from mainy. Affordable and will discount if you by in bulk. Not sure if he has anymore however. He just posted so you could probably ask him though.

Quote:http://www.usahanger.com/products/details.asp?ProductID=NH303 These have a 3/4" width clasp. I don't get why these don't have like a 2" clasp or 2.5" to claps the entire cuff, if there's one there, and help press it over time. My pants all have 1.5" cuffs and it looks a little weird with part of it pressed and part of it not. But there is none with a 2.5" or 2" clasp.
