There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'm speechless about some(most) of these deals. I thought picking up a nearly new pair of Ferragamo studio line cap toe balmorals on ebay for $85 shipped was a deal.

Welcome to the thrift thread.... where items are 99% off retail 95% of the time.

Not to start a war but be careful with the Ferragamo Studio line (glued)... had 2 pairs fall apart on me.... construction is subpar IMO

    Thanks for the welcome Brianpore.

I did know that the shoes were likely glued up before I bought them, but given my need for formal black shoes is infrequent, I think they will do just fine. It is a shame about the soles because the leather is quite nice.

I've had a few good finds over the years and I find it hard to pick a favourite. The one that gets used the most is a solid grey Brioni suit that I wear pretty much every week. Bragworthiness here would probably be the pure cashmere Hermes sports coat I found, but that's a bit full-on and only gets worn occasionally

By far the best value for bragging has been the full bottle of Jules cologne I found for $5. It"s a discontinued classic, and impossible to find. Whenever I mention it to the local perfumistas, they are enraged with jealousy. I've kept the price sticker on it, just to rub it in :)

Ian...they have an outdoor shop down here in the Nati that has really sweet fly fishing gear....ie $$$$$$$$

They are also an official Barbour distributor and carry Patagonia along with other cool outdoor gear. I drool evertime I go in there.

There's one of these at a local thrift. I thought about posting the label but never did. Are they always worth flipping?

Someone was excited about this jacket, I ran across a very similar one that is too small for me, Loro Piana fabric, super nice, one small ding in the back, not exactly a hole, but it's there. Available to anyone that is interested.

...and my fave thrift, that is also the one that I wear the most
    [IMG]

I have since bought the lapel pin that cost me 2x what the coat cost, and a hanger that cost me 3x what the coat cost. I think that brings the total to $64 still a savings of... 96% over retail?

Lanvin fans, what the heck do I have here? Heavyweight wool deconstructed trousers. NWOT as far as I can tell.
