it was better as a text post.
Next week he posts pictures of amazing furniture finds. In two weeks he is kicking shopping carts... Could this be?? Is he?
Wth, I've been running into lots of pinstripe orphans recently. First was the beige Truzzi, then recent navy Canali, then recent-ish Cuccinelli in S150s. All of them felt really nice with bemberg lining, pants nowhere to be found. I almost sadistically hope these were donated because the pants were destroyed somehow, and not that the pants are alone somewhere. Stopped by the SA today after seeing the distribution truck in town at lunchtime, headed straight there. Found some Harris Tweed that I have to measure, and more damn orphans. I wasn't going to even mention it except I found a nice brown/beige pinstripe in my size, 3pc but missing the pants. Sigh. Finally finished shopping for Secret Santa, though, and am finally satisfied with my pickings for that endeavour. Someone will be sent a package very soon...
P.S. Found a crappy jacket today from what looked like the 70's, but it had Aquascutum written on the lining but not the tags -- thing was polyester and viscose. What?
Truzzi makes tailored stuff?
Also, that Cucinelli orphan is definitely worth grabbing, especially if it's Super 150s. It's like Kiton, the label is the main factor. It could be lime green with yellow polka dots and people will still go nuts over it.
Watchmen graphic novel! Faq yeah!
While I agree with your general point, I have a feeling their standard policy is to process payments by phone. They likely refused so that Wes would just cave and get the service rather than wasting 4+ hours to pay in person. Then he would just pay in person when he picked up the car. Dealerships are all shady as shit...
Its not every day you find a tshirt that is older than you in your size. This was from the Animalize Tour 1984-85. Not available unless someone makes me an offer I cant refuse. Chest measures 19.5" across.
Beatles and Stones vinyl, and found near me????
I think that Watchman comic is a later print yes? The original cover is the smiley face made out of text?
Cool bag, although my girlfriend bought a coach bag recently and it is cracking slightly already after a couple of months.
Lol, if that was a size larger, I would definitely golf in it.
Breaks in my don't buy if it does not fit policy; for trade:
VTG Medium chambray, USA
VTG Medium Icelandic
US made Dexter 8.5 pebblegrain longwings with rubber soles.
Same in DC. However, I think the SoCal thrift prices may be double from ours
Wearing these Bally shortwings today that Eazy hooked me up on. Got them Monday, wearing them for the 1st time. Fit great:
Dude, you're buying this stuff at thrift prices. Take a chance on the unknown, just like we all have done. I was standing there in line scrupulously inspecting some Gucci croc loafers for imperfections rather than throwing $10 at the clerk. Live and learn, then get that money.
I was surprised, too, about the Truzzi. That was a couple months ago, not long after I discovered SF and this thread, when I found the AE lizard skin loafers I think. When I went back to see if I found matching pants for the Truzzi, it was gone. Thing was gorgeous in S110s, and kind of fit... [meepish] Oh, and there was another pinstripe orphan in the same size that I found at the same time, and when I went hunting for the Truzzi pants later I found matching pants for the other pinstripe -- I seriously hope I didn't miss out on what is for me a grail find at $17.
Good to know about the Cucinelli, will go back for it ASAP. Thanks!
Perhaps later I'll go to Neiman Marcus and get me some GM-H "thrift" pics, but in the meantime, my lowly finds:
AE Maxfield, 10 EEE with rubber half-soles. Available
US Made LL Bean duck boots, 9 ladies M. Possibly available.
NWT PRL button down. Not available right now.
Also picked up a staple Zegna white shirt and a striped Lacoste dress shirt, but both are getting the treatment right now.
Separate names with a comma.
