1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Totally legit. Not many people know this, but just over 550 years ago the Levi clan started making jeans and other denim-like clothing exclusively out of, you guessed it, fur from the hind quarters of Welsh rabbits. Thus, the legendary "hare bottom" jeans that Clan Levi was founded on.

Nice Nice! You've been picking up some awesome stuff recently, it's making it hard for me to not shop.

Does it happen to be a 40? Fits a touch loose and a bit long in the arms? ...hint, hint :)

I've only been successful because you're not in the field for the moment. :fistbump:

And it's 54R, so no good for either of us.

My photo/prep room is getting made into the guest bedroom, so that boss has instructed me to have it emptied quick. I made the stupid move of telling her that I wouldn't buy more until the room was emptied and set up.

From shells to scales. Croc loafers. Not perfect, but nice just the same.

    That's belly skin right?

    That's an awesome shirt!

If you ever get tired of any of those, send them my way! :D

Funny article and I have to admit that I agree with them for the most part. I know they were just trying to be humorous, but people do pick up things that are almost worn out, out of style, etc.

There are plenty of blogs I follow that I'm sure will soon be posting pics and drooling all over that shirt once it goes up for sale. One of the more envious finds I've seen since following this thread. I'm curious what the oldest (and still wearable) pickup of the thread is? I assume all the best vintage finds come from areas where houses have attics or basements (and barns). There's not a whole lot room in LA apartments and houses to store, and then forget about things for 90 years; especially if the piece's survival requires crossing over a generation of ownership.

A few finds today. I violated the NPC for these. The vests are NA for the moment as they're my size but the sweater is available for trade.

    So, RUGBY line, good/bad/indifferent?
speaking of potential fakes/not what you think it might be:

I look up the name and it's all about Hermes, but there's no Hermes tag or in the design, so I passed.
I'm sure it's still there if it may have potential. For sure no mention of Hermes in the design. Tag says silk, made in Italy, hand rolled edges.<=edit: pretty sure it said Italy, not France. Probably the answer right there. Now I have to go back.

Rugby certainly isn't the same quality or materials as regular polo but it's pretty sought after (not on SF) because of teh more athletic fit and it is a now-deceased brand. sells decent on eBay I've found.

Rugby is a line that is now defunct and was known for being a bit more fashion forward. I have a jacket that is 40R and is a bit tight on me and I'm a 38. It was fairly similar to PRL in terms of quality and price. Some of the jackets and suits were made in Italy by Caruso and that's what you really want to go for. However the other stuff does fairly well on the bay due to being recent deadstock.

EDIT: MZ beat me to it

WTF. Seriously, WTF. You can't be finding this stuff in thrift stores. You're shoplifting. You must be. It's OK to 'fess up, you're among friends. Eazy?
