1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The Mallory (grey one on the right) is a nice brand of hat and this one seems to be in condition, the hole in the liner notwithstanding. The Mallory also looks pretty clean, but a light brushing would not hurt. It could also use a reblocking or at least some shaping using a bit of steam. Might be beaver felt or rabbit. My Mallory is rabbit and looks similar texture-wise. The other one is made of wool and not really worth much, but still useful as a knockabout hat, but kind of cool it was made for use on Philadelphia Transit. I'd say you could brighten the day of a hat lover with both.

I am almost 100% certain it's a fake (does Hermes make ties that feel like acrylic?), yet the tags, markings, everything, appear legit.

    (Do they?)

I have not seen too many legit Hermes ties in person, but, as far as I know the "printed" label has not changed at all in decades, whereas the woven tie-keep label / one in your photo has changed a bit over time...but either way, I have never seen a label with the "extra" piece sticking out of the front of the horse, and the horse always had a very straight front leg (not bent as in your photo). It might be legit but not consistent with the ones I've seen and were confident in buying. Might be a Hermes expert here who can verify 100%.

Thanks! They're the Hugo Boss DANNY shoe from his Orange Label a couple of years back. The most similar design today is the RESOLUTE. The major difference between the two is that the DANNY was from his Handcrafted Line which utilized a combination of suede and kangaroo leather which gives the DANNY an interesting texture. It's a size EU44. PM me if that works for you!

One of my favorite ever finds today. Vintage 1960s Brooks Brothers RAW SILK blue blazer, 3/2 roll, triple patch pockets. As nicely constructed as modern high end RTW, with hand-padded lapels, hand-sewn buttonholes, and full canvas.

Spoo, if any of them are 7½ and not taken I'd be willing to take one off your hands.

Keep up the good work gentlemen. It's great fun and a good learning experience, this thread.

But it can be worn with a bowtie, just look at that. All cotton, not just some. All this for about $19 over retail. I'm on it!

How did you date that? Th union tag?

I though it was a good deal. Usually it's buy 3 get the 4th free. Beats paying $17,700.
