1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Ooo a glimps of the rare and elusive Dulge & Gabane in the wild. Not to be mistaken for its close relative Dolce & Gabbana

I am usually Lacoste Intolerant, but this one caught my eye, while panning for gold in the brass button section. Since I have tons of luck with unusual blazer buttons lately, this was a no-brainer-kop. The blazer is a navy patch/flap pocket casual in decent shape, not sure yet if I will harvest or keep together.

Mercuryman - that Levis haul is killer! :slayer:

Very true, but KenP also has a point. Who wants their hot spot plastered on a major men's fashion website saying "This spot is the best. Oh, and the best time to hit it is X:00 when all the men's stuff comes out". That's fine for PMs but to post all the fine details on a public board? Could have just left it at "The best store is at this address ......." and left the rest to a PM.

There was an incident a while back where I posted a short list of a few charity shops (ie OXFAM) locations my wife knew about in London for somebody on this thread as well as another incident where I posted the names of the stores where I found particular items. I got PMs from somebody else requesting that I not do that anymore. Whatever. [IMG]

Hmm, I think the Boroni sport coat I saw on Saturday might be too dressy for those...

    Perhaps something by Hugo Boos?

Thank you KenP! You too are a cool dude and thank you for that stellar trade a few months ago.

Recently after hanging out with some of the forum members, they've convinced me, rather than utilizing PM in order to avoid the occasional ribbing/criticism that occurs, to start posting and assisting in public.

I'll post some finds later today.

I've never understood that logic. The "best" store in Toronto probably has ten flippers in it at all times actively attacking the racks. And there are probably 100 other people poking around looking for whatever. The people who're finding your Lobbs are the flippers who already live in those stores, not the hobbyists on this 'site.

Non-commercial find that's now a part of my wardrobe: top-grain farmer's belt with a nicely aged heavy brass buckle. Dated 1939. The leather's in great shape, but it has a good vintage look.
