    Wow - amazing work!! :slayer:

That place is awful. The stereo I think you're thinking about is a super nice Linn Sondek stereo system but priced at full blown, top end eBay retail at $4,300. That place is terrible. So big but awful prices. The neighborhood isn't very nice either. Who's going to drop that kind of bread on a stereo in a not-so-nice area. I've almost completely written the store off.

I think it was different than that but I think I remember the one you're talking about. This one had a reel to reel which looked ok paired with a pretty average 70s receiver and crappy looking turntable and speakers.

A friend told me he saw some $2 bills in the case once for $10 each.

Aaah, I think I do recall the one you're talking about. Was a couple years ago. Haha, wow - that doesn't surprise me one bit. Don't know how they stay in business. Their overall prices are ridiculous. That's fine though, as it keeps them away from my regular haunts.

I just sold this exact pair on the bay, I was wondering what model they were as well.

Looks great! Do you post over on AAAC? Your picture looks really familiar.

@Wes, damn man, good stuff! Love the use of reclaimed floors and french doors from the dumpster. :slayer: It makes me wonder how you have the energy to remodel your house, have a full time job, and thrift as much as you do. Rock on! :D

Thanks! Yep, sure do, though mostly in the Trad forum. Only place over there that isn't dedicated to JAB suits and competing to see who knows more about the details of frock coats.

Very nice, very trad look. Agree with Handershund on darker shoes... Snuff suede would have been killer, but it's not a big deal.

I was wondering that too... Awesome home improvement, 50 hours / week on thrifting and ebaying, and a full-time job. Speed kills, cap. Speed kills. [IMG]

    +1

Right now, I'm sitting here typing away on Styleforum while my boss is interviewing my potential replacement in his office. Oh, the thrill and excitement of working from home will be mine in one short week! Goodbye, cruel world of trade magazine editing. Hello, cruel world of trade magazine writing mixed with tons of freelancing and non-lunch-hour thrift trips.

This is nothing, I feel like I have a shit ton of time since I graduated and don't have 5 hours of school a day on top of all that...

Thanks - they are snuff suede, Alden 6243. Just washed out a bit by the lighting. Color's more accurate in the spoilered shoe shot.

Awesome work, Wes! And I love the fit, Orgetorix.

Glad it worked out. It's so simple and yet surprisingly non-obvious.

Yea prices are ridiculous... Every once and a while I find something decent and it's near my parents house in Lakeville so I usually make a trip whenever I'm there
