You must be the most casual lawyer EVER [IMG]

Love the shirt and shoes. There's something funky going on with the arms of the jacket... Just a coincidence of the photo, or are they too tight on your arms?

I think part of it might be the button stance being so high. The jacket is short for a traditional fit. I know that's more streetwear, but I think you then have to lower the stance a little, otherwise it can make it look like you have a push-up brazier on. (And the arms look too tight to me a well.)

Well, not everyone, I've seen nothing but junk and ruined ties recently. A few nice pieces, but made by no name tailors or defunct and now obscure shops (like Britches of Georgetown) where I'm not willing to take the risk as a casual seller who never gets around to listing things anyway.

I did see a XXXXXL (yes, five Xs) cotton-cashmere blend sweater from a decent maker yesterday, but a somewhat limited market there.

LOL. you couldn't be further from the truth. i am by far the least casually-dressed person in my office. i constantly get "someone's dressed up today" and "are you appearing in court today?" comments. silicon valley law = extreme business casual

yeah i noticed the tightness in the arms too. it's something that kind of happens with all my jackets. am i just packing too much heat in the guns dept?

Oh, it's beautiful stuff, but I've never really looked that hard into its flippablity. I just worry that nobody is searching for the name, since they've been defunct for years. A quick glance at e-bay confirms- very little stuff, and going for low prices.

That jacket looks decent at the shoulders but the waist is pulling which make it look way too small.

I was just making a joke in reference to Concealed saying I shouldn't use the word in my title. All in good fun.

No, he's not. I met with a lawyer friend of mine one time when he was wearing madras shorts and a pink linen shirt. Caught me off guard, but law firms can get pretty casual these days. This was a fairly small firm (I think they have 5 or 6 lawyers), but his name is on the building.

Found a Whitcomb & Shaftsbury bespoke suit today, first one i've ever handled and the craftsmanship really is something else! Would you guys say this constitutes a POW check? Also how do bespoke suits tend to do on the bay? I've had a look through but it seems to fluctuate wildly..

haha to clarify, i wasn't saying you shouldn't use it! i was just surprised and couldn't remember your handle for pm purposes. like i said you make more money from eBay than I do, so maybe I should start adding ridonkulous to my random tweed jacket listings

That reminds me. Saw a SC by Fields of DC today. Canvassed, handwork, etc. I know several people on SF in the DC area use them for alterations.

It can never hurt to ask what the price is. I got the Zegna Cashmere NWT (red dot on the sleeve) Retail $1895 for under $100 and it flipped quick for $295. You never know if the manager on the floor might go "oh thats Ralph Lauren, they are $49"

Edit - The jacket had no tag, hence why I mentioned it.
