1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks! I thought it might be, too.

On this note, I did find some info recently about the makers history for Oxxford shirts, but damned if I can't find it now. Like Spoo says, Kiton for a bit, then some other Euro maker I thought. MTM are in the states. In any case here's a quick dirty pic of mine. Sorry, it's been in a bag for 3 months (found it just before my incident.) Construction and fit seem stellar, though my experience with that level is very limited. Only tag anywhere is "Oxxford Clothes."

Picked this up. Remind me again what the cursive writing on the blue label means? I think it was discussed at one point.

RL Signature. I believe that was pre-purple label and was between Polo Italy quality and Purple Label. Good to own/trade here, not so good for flipping

Dang, that is a great color.
Thanks, and I was thinking the same thing as far as it being too esoteric to flip on eBay, although it is a nice houndstooth with patch pockets, so it might do okay. It's un-vented, and fits me everywhere except the sleeves. From my first look it appears as though the sleeves are maxed out in terms of length. Maybe I was wrong, going to check again after work :/

Dior knock off? I'm really confused by this - it has the Dior homme silver "Paris" hang tag and some other details, but fabrique in Italy + made in china = WTF

Nice find. There have been a handful of others, including some cashmere knits from Nataku (I think) and a navy paisley I found. Mine was manufactured by Gitman. There's a video on YouTube of a tie making demo in the Gitman factory, and they're making an Oxxford tie.

Found at vintage shops/websites for my wedding:
Perfectly fitted 1930's morning coat, in amazing condition, for $126 including shipping from SavvyRow.com
Vintage silk plush top hat, some wear to the underbrim, made in Toronto, fits almost perfectly, $150 including shipping in original case, from eBay.
Beautiful, seems like never worn (pockets still stitched shut) dinner suit, made in Austria, virgin wool and 25% mohair. Sleeves need to be shortened, and going to have the jacket waisted, but a perfect fit in the chest and shoulders. Found at a vintage clothing store in Vancouver, BC for $140.

Hit a store at lunch. Couldn't leave this on the shelf. I have no idea if it has any value, but it was just too cool.

Crappy pic, but vintage morning coat:

Hello gents this is ejay415. Firstly my apologies to everyone who messaged me regarding trades and sales. I haven't been ignoring anyone's messages but since my last post in this thread, I've lost access to messages and the ability to post. I guess I was put under a sort of ban that only allows me to log in without any posting or messaging capabilities. All my posts have only been in this thread. This happened after my last one here of a 15 robert graham shirt haul (had I known they'd be such detestable nauseating eyesores to warrant a ban, I wouldn't have ever posted them [IMG] )
I emailed support regarding the matter multiple times to no avail.
Anyhow, fantastic finds everyone. I have a few to share from the past couple weeks

Hit the store this afternoon and ran across a busted old J Press blazer with some Ben Silver buttons:

There's some wear to them, but they still look good. Will probably be the first thing I try to sell on ebay.

Strangely, it looks like Ben Silver doesn't make these for Cornell anymore.

Thanks, these were pretty slim to begin with, but I still had them taken in a smidge more.
