Sometimes buttons sell well, so I might gamble on labels like Versace, Chanel, Fendi if they have holes if I can pick it up for ~$4 per button or less

Indeed it is. Well, one of them. The recent Gant lines "Collection" and "Rugger" are very nice as well. You can tell if they're recent if they don't have the red outline around the label.

Whaaaat?! As others stated, go back for them ASAP!

Picked up this fully canvassed Edwin Nazario blazer today. From what I've read, he's a designer out of Toronto that has done some work with Armani, handmakes suits in Italy, and sells via Holt Renfrew. Could anyone tell me a bit more about it? I'm a bit new to the thrifting game.

Just two shirt finds today. Thomas Pink usually isn't bragworthy but this was my size, super recent, slim fit and with a cutaway collar. Win all around. I'm guessing the T&A is from the same guy. Both are like new.

Frostline, a company originally headquartered here in Denver, isn't a brand so much as it's a DIY kit you could purchase to make your own outerwear when such things weren't available in stores. REI was just beginning and companies like Chouinard/Patagonia, North Face, Sierra Designs, Marmot, etc didn't exist yet. Any piece you see with that tag was made in someone's house to varying degrees of quality.

    More info here: http://www.oregonphotos.com/Frostline1.html

A 60/40 piece merely refers to its construction which is a blend of approximately 60% cotton and 40% nylon.

Ida know. A blissful utopia where we can all get dirt cheap Kiton and similar quality? I'll give up the beer money on the side if it means I can dress like Spoo every day of the week on my budget.

I have the same sc and it's awesome. Very nice of you to pass the savings. Make sure you give your stuff to someone who's not going to just flip it with you doing the work of finding it

LOL, if I drop 100 lbs then it will be relatively easy to work on the Spoo look.

    Couple questions:

First, is anyone interested in a Hickey-Freeman Canterbury SC in 39S? I didn't pick it up as it's priced higher than GW SC's usually are in this area, but I can proxy. I should have grabbed a close-up of the fabric. There is no HF outer label, but the pocket label is one of the newer ones. I think UNITE HERE, which would be 2004+. Handworked buttonholes.

Second, I spotted a SC priced at $20 and wondered WTF, but then spotted this:

Good version, yes? But then the super-wide lapels and the sound of Mex's voice in my ear (or a made-up approximation thereof) convinced me to leave it behind at that price. The angle makes the lapels look a touch wider than they really are, but yeah... they're wide.

Should I go back? At that price and with the dated look, I figured there wouldn't be that big of a profit margin. (Dual vent, BTW.)
