It's all about being in the right place at the right time. I did the entire store, casually going though the ties and a girl comes over to put 3 new ties out....BAM! If I did ties first or took another 5 minutes in the shirts I might have missed it. This was the only decent tie they had.
I sold this exact model last year for around $70. Cool Pics and good find!

HELP ME GUYS!

I'm at a thrift store and I found an oxxford sport coat for 15 bucks. It has a tiny hole by one arm, in the back.I still think it looks great, but I only want to pick up things I know I can flip quickly. Is it worth the risk?

Hmm, I dont know.
Only **** I would pick up with holes would be Brioni, Kiton, or Attolini.
I slanged a Brioni with holes all over the fuckin place and I managed to squeeze out $70 out of it. It sold to someone in Japan.

Passed on the same jacket here not two hours ago because of two tiny wear spots on the cuff. And it was only $4.

I by way of habit do not pick up anything with holes regardless of name brand. Exception to the rule would be holes formed by pins or a hole smaller than a pinhead where french reweaving will restore to as good as new for under $60. Multiple holes or a single big one (anything larger than a small pea) I just leave it be.

I comfortably left a Kiton Prince of Wales suit sitting on the rack a while back after discovering a few small holes. Even though it was 40bucks, I do not want to be the guy that picks up trash. French reweaving estimate on the suit would have been about $200 and although some may consider a nice Kiton suit a good bang for $240 costs, I think that once it has been conveyed that the suit used to have issues, few people would consider even a proxy let alone a decent trade.

Kiton suits are slowly becoming a dime a dozen on eBay, it will not be long before all hardcore flippers will struggle to top $200 for one of them unless they are super recent and NWT. It has happened to Zegna, now starting to trend with Brioni. Kiton is definitely next ... I predict that in less than two years all this high end gear will be next to worthless (relatively speaking once costs / markups etc are factored) on eBay thanks to saturation where supply greatly outstrips demand. Only the runway stuff or the highly collectable and rare pieces will keep their value. Goodwills are extremely busy compared to two years ago and I am running into flippers all the time now. The wheels of this little resale industry are dangerously close to coming off.

I predict that licensed Christian Dior ties will still hold their present value in two years.

I'll have to wait for spring to wear this (please excuse the poor lighting). Polo, made in US. Sold at Saks. It doesn't look suuuuper dated, does it?

And I picked this up for the history ...
