Just my opinion but I would say too much small pattern up top. Looks a bit busy. I'd go with a solid color shirt. Great jacket and shoes. I particularly like the Aldens.

I would definitely consider introducing a basic tennis shoe to your rotation. Now that the weather's getting a bit nicer, the opportunity to wear crisp white shoes is back. If you're not sure if you want to commit to a super $$$ pair (Lanvin, Common Projects, MMM, etc), maybe consider Jack Purcells. Converse offers a leather upper at a great price point.

Nice! If those jackets came from Udine as the tag indicates, I've been through that area. It's a couple of hours away, on my way to a weekend beach area in Italy. Not sure what help I can offer, but I can look it up next time I go through....though that won't be until it warms up a bit.

Also, what color are those BB loafers and would you be willing to provide an insole length?

Thanks, but no worries! I am going to be buying some new loafers this spring sometime anyway, I probably wouldn't go with black. Take it easy and let the booze do the work. :D

I have a pair of Stan Smiths by Adidas. Affordable (I think I paid something like $50 from Amazon) and, to my eye, classy. However, Mrs. Pnutpug, who doesn't blink at spectators anymore, found them too white.

Is it ? Iunno. Didnt inspect it, just liked it and it fits so Im keeping it, so I really dont care. My polo shirts last a summer at best, i get 30-40 new ones each season. My kid has a knack for spilling things on each and every one.

Check the content tag for "Devanlay" on the back side....or is it "devenlay"? I can never remember, but it's on all of the authentic shirts I've seen. I passed on a decent shirt the other day that was clearly linen but labelled cotton and was missing that on the tag.

    ...or Devonlay?

I just google "oxyclean put this on styleforum". First link every time.

I, too, found Gloverall -- my first ever -- today. After meeting with OCooney, an unbelievably awesome dude. (I took the wrong direction on the pike. Fate, I believe, because then I decided to hit the closest Will in Worcester, and found me the Gloverall with real horn buttons). A bit mothy snacked, but only down to the weave. Is there a way to "re flannel" the weave? OR is this just the way it's gonna be for ever?
    Well if not, then--
MOTHER FREAKER beat me to it! Just one more gratuitous shoutout to say how awesome Cooney is. Ended up with a boatload of stuff and he damn near wouldn't take my money (but he has no choice since I sent it to him now!). Great guy!

Man I wish I wasn't too square to try something like these.. but I'm almost 40 now -- probably not a good time to start. :)

Maybe when my kids are a little older, I could break out something like this with black socks and sandals to embarrass them... Of course.. that may be in style by then!

I went to zero stores today (removing sod to expand garden beds and transplanting hydrangeas to a different side of the house) although I did manage to pick up a nearly 6' tall cedar wardrobe off of craigslist for $45.

Wanted to give big thanks to Lesacre for the navy Brooks Brothers blazer I received today - fits perfect, and is exactly what I've been searching for! [IMG] Even tossed in a couple of ties that will work perfectly with it - I may have to consider posting a thrift fit at some point because I'm that satisfied with the purchase. Thanks bro!

A couple of things from today.

Belvest SC. Bottom front pockets are still tacked shut. Is there a part of the tag that says what size it is? Too big for a 40 but doesn't seem big enough to be a 56.
