[IMG] Kid Sized!? These are like on the tippy top of my tux wish list. I think finding a tux my size I'm happy with is going to be easier then finding a pair of Opera Pumps my size.

No Joke...I'm still trying to figure out who I have to pay off to have one single item listed on PTO. Been doing this (decent quality stuff I like to think) for almost two years now, and not a single thing. Had some $3,000+ NWT Hickey Freeman Presidential jackets, nada. Shell shoes, nada. (maybe the above will get noticed??), Two pair Vintage Edward Green Brooks Brothers in size 6.5, nada., WTF [IMG]

Guys, sorry to interlope, but I have a quick question from somebody who's a complete n00b at thrifting:

I feel like there might be a certain type of person out there (like me) who has no objection to wearing used clothing, but lacks either the time, the knowledge, or the store access to make a go of it. This person could hit up eBay and search for big-name brands that folks like you have thoughtfully bought and flipped--but there'll still be a whole lot of quality product from obscure brands that slips through the cracks (or brandless product whose quality you guys can tell but whose quality is difficult to convey to the hoi polloi).

Has anyone attempted to bridge this gap, either through a thread, a market, or just informal proxies? It seems like a good way for you guys to be able to get more money and for people like me to get better clothes on the cheap.

From what I've seen, the vast majority of PTO features are auction items. BINs are the rarest of the rare and few and far between.

Agreed, just saw at least one BIN (already sold) in the latest PTO roundup and all the of Etsy stuff is basically BIN. At least I have BIN OBO on everything.

Strategic pricing (somewhat lower than eBay BIN, since I won't have fees), however, I can send out personal coupon codes to thread members I fancy [IMG]
