There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

You're normally so on (you're shooting at least 90%), so I feel okay offering a bit of criticism :) The pocket square comes out of left field on this one. I really like everything individually, but together it's not really in harmony. A blue shirt would help, but the color of the vest and trousers is in such contrast to the jacket. Again, I have to say that you're consistently one of the best fit posters in this thread and that's the ONLY reason I feel as though you can take the critique! The fit of everything works really well though, I just think you have better things to pair in your closet. I really hope that wasn't too harsh as it's still head and shoulders above what's seen in most places, including most WAYW threads here lately! :)

I hit the motherload today in shirts, they all fit me really well. Obviously someone in my size dropped off a bunch of nice shirts. They are hang0drying right now and I need to iron them next.

Any Gloverall experts about? I am trying to figure out exactly how vintage this coat is and Google has let me down. Any info would be appreciated. I am mostly just curious and trying to educate myself.

    It's tagged 44L and available.

I've seen that tag often, but I can't place an exact year. Maybe late '80s or early '90s? Either way, the construction is about the same as today and the style of it has been going around for the past 40+ years, including the pockets and color. Only thing you'll notice is the poly content goes up on certain recent models, if I remember correctly (someone can correct me)>

    Sure!

I start at post #1 and write down that person's name and put a stroke mark next to it. I do the same with every subsequent post until I find a name that I've already written down, and then I make a second stroke next to that name and so on until I get to the last post in the thread. After that, it's just simple addition and a little bit of sabremetrical quantum diaspora mechanics. Anyone could do the same.

Or I just click on the number of replies from the main menu page and copy the names and quantities from the pop up window and paste them into a reply.

    Either way! :D

Pretty remarkable considering about 95% of your posts here consist of authenticating Versace finds.

    Nice! On all levels.
Love that you're joining the fun, and from vacation no less!

Thanks, all, for the thoughts and input. I really appreciate them all, and they were totally respectful (so no worries Hans!)

Speaking of Hans -- Good news: It IS a blue shirt! Powder blue. But either way, I knew this fit was going to be WAAAY out on the edge, so I don't blame folks for finding room for improvement. As I said, "I expect this fit will meet with stiff resistance." It's (the last work day before) Paddy's day and I wanted to green it the f*ck up. So I took it to the edge. Originally I had a more muted windowpane SC, but it didn't work. This one worked marginally better. I also originally had a blackwatch wool tie, but that also didn't work. The square was a last minute middle finger to the world. And as for the button on the waistcoat, because of the way it's cut, opening the bottom button makes it open way up close to my natural waist. Looked funny. One of those examples where I departed from the rules because the real world would see something more askew with the rule compliance than with the departure.

Today for me: I think I made it to one of my honey holes about an hour after someone else. They had put out another tie bin, and all I found was a Ferragamo, an Irish wool tartan plaid and a damaged (but tags attached) Polo tie. Everything else was cleaned out. Luckily I got a skeet blanket at the Rack (but no tags. WTF with that?)

Thomas Pink graph check (my fave pattern) for myself and a funky Paul Fredrick 7-fold. Been wanting to try the cheap-brand 7-folds for a while.
